Some of you might be wondering what this post is really about. Well, clearly as we've all noticed, the original content is of no challenge to us 60s anymore.
Blizzard has removed most of our content, namely Upper Blackrock Spire, Zul Gurub, Onyxia's Lair and Naxxramas. They also converted LBRS and UBRS(Removed) from 10-man raid to 5-man dungeon in the Patch 4.0.3a.

Even so, we've decided to start up a secondary raid team, focusing on doing stuff a little more hardcore than the usual classic raids.
In this raid team, we're focusing on doing things as they were intended and as challenging as they were back then, although some minor adjustments are being made due to the circumstances.






Hardcore raid setup

This is what we're starting of with. Adjustments will be done accordingly as we see fit. Everyone with the interest of being a permanent raider within this raidcore will get their chance. In the starting phase we'll start of with a trial of 3x raids. If you pass your trial you will have a permanent spot in the raid.
Make no mistake, this is a raid, not a boost. Effort will have to be made. Turn up at the correct time when announced, gear accordingly, bring consumables needed and repair. Ultimately, the raid leader will be the one speaking during encounters. Fail to listen to your raidleader or repeatingly doing the same mistakes over and over will get you replaced.






Requirements and Raid Rules

1. No Shamans / Monks / Death Knights.
2. No Draeneis / Worgen / Panda's.
3. No PvP gear.
4. No enchants past vanilla.
5. No Transmogrification what-so-ever.
6. We do not allow cross-realms joining this raid - this is purely for guild members in <Classic>
7. Dedication; Read up on encounters, bring consumables and whatever needed for the raid.
8. LOOT RULES: MS** > OS (This applies to offpieces and weapons). All classes can need on their correct class tier-pieces.

For inspiration I would like to share that last night my guild cleared 5 bosses in MC with 5 people only using questing/dungeon blue gear with no non-vanilla enchants, progression style. Tonight we'll push on further

Nice to hear ! MC has no challenge at all as the mana regen at lower levels is different.

Did manage to get blackwing lair down with 7 man, trash after valestraz is sick, took us 2 hours to get past all the trash to flamegore + firemaw

2x tanks 1 heal + 4 dps

Which class did you use to soloheal BWL? The biggest issue in MC so far has been all the dispel/decurse action going on, other than that it's been fairly smooth with the exception of high damage on the tank on Garr.

You can max range it/ clense pots/ have hybrids assist healing.
Not neccecary tho, with herpaderp damage you can just blast your way through.

Hardcore version should go to level 50 to be honest.

It's more accurate and with the amount of members Classic has, it might be possible to get Twins and C'Thun down with 50s.

I've said this way too many times already, but for me personally, the 60 bracket is not your regular "Twink bracket". This was once end-game content. 50s were not MEANT to clear anything within the 60 raids.
If you look up my character, you won't find enchants or gear that wasn't available back in the original game, because I absolutely despise most of the content blizzard has released in the last 8-9 years.
60s were not meant to wear "Mongoose / Berserking / Landslide" etc. 50s were not meant to clear AQ40.

Now, I might have a screw loose when it comes to this subject - but your take on calling your idea of making 50s to clear original end-game content more accurate just amuses me. It's not accurate what so ever. Nothing will ever again be accurate. However, gearing, enchanting and looking the same way we did back then will bring more nostalgia than clearing content with 50s. Hence why in my opinion, what we're trying to do is more accurate.

Hur da hur teh number 5 is not teh 6 number. That's not an argument to why the gameplay wouldn't be more accurate.

It is more accurate in numbers, you need more people. you can't clear it with just 5/10 people. It's slightly more accurate in DPS numbers and duration of fights (obviously depends on the size of the group) it's more accurate in hits/misses and damage taken (crushing), It has more talent limitations (could be seen as a con as well, I suppose). The enchants and profession limitations could still be added and it would still be do-able.

You can do what you want, but don't act so passive-aggresive when someone suggests something more accurate. I also have never seen you say that before and I would very suprised if you could find two people who'll stick to these "hardcore" rules I've been in runs with the intended "no TBC items/enchants/etc." before and there was practically no one sticking to the rules and even if they did, it wouldn't make it more accurate than doing it at a lower level (maybe 55 might be even better though!).

If that's your opinion on how Level 60 Twinking should go then you should'nt be Raiding MC or AQ40 with less than 37-39 Players, EVER, because that wasn't how it was done back then. You couldn't just waltz into AQ40/MC with 5-15 Players and expect to get past the first set of Trash let alone any of the Bosses, yet you can very easily now. Times change and so does the game. I'm all for nostalgia but complaining about someone suggesting you try it with 50's "as a challenge" when you yourself are clearing the Raids will FAR less 60's than would've been possible because "the original content is of no challenge to us 60's anymore" (your own words) is irony at it's finest.

Theres no point with 50s at all. You can get some troubles with trash as 7 man. Bwl was the best example as the trash in there hits harder than aq 40 trash for some reason. Shouldnt be like that. I will show u next week a stream with 7 man aq 40 + bwl.

Do you know what twink means ? Dont mix it please my friend with nostalgia and all the other shits, majority of ppl in this bracket are 15-17 years old and these ppl were never there when the real shits were going on.
