Hey mates!

I've been noticing over the past couple weeks that everyone and their cousin is making a stream. I totally support this 100% and think it's great for getting our community out there. However, I personally think it's a bit of a nuisance having all these stream threads all over the front page of the 10-19 general forum. As I'm making this thread right now, for example, 4 of the 6 top threads are stream threads - and are composed 99.9% of the players themselves just bumping their thread. I want to see fresh threads and discussion at the top of the forum page, not the streams I've seen bumped every day for weeks. Thoughts on this? I was thinking possibly having a "Streams" section in the forum kind of like the "Guild Recruitment + LFG" and "Rate-A-Twink" sections? That way those of us who want to see which players are streaming need only go into that section and check. Anyway, I hope I'm not the only person who's a little annoyed by this.

We have been thinking about creating a streaming sub-section, much like the Guild Recruitment area, to reduce the clutter of all the streaming threads. Previously, there have been few streamers so it wasn't that bad. With all the new streamers though things might change.
 
Never understood why twinks stream. Yeah sure for twinkcup, whatever. But for arenas and BGs which are always lobsided... your game play isn't that special that everyone needs to see it -.-

I along with many others enjoy watching and communicating on streams. Should be reason enough.
 
The exhibition sticky and the networking sticky both have streamers lists at the moment, a streaming sub-section would be great.

Its nice to get a different perspective of bgs/arenas than you have + interacting with the streamer etc is nice

Streaming is enjoyable to those streaming and those watching the streams. If people didn't enjoy them, they wouldn't watch them. No one is forcing anyone to stream or watch any streams.

That being said, I like the idea of adding a subsection for streams. There are too many stream threads in the general 10-19 section nowadays.

i really try and avoid responding to you now i promise but you really do not help yourself

whether or not games are shitty currently people do it purely for enjoyment and conversing with fellow twinks etc, and you trying to bash other peoples' gameplay just proves once again how much of a one dimensional player you are. there is more than one way to play your class and the gulch

edit: ps worry more about what you yourself are doing and less about what other people are doing

Rather than permanently bumping threads to let others know when a stream is live, could the streaming section (if it is implemented) just have a green light or a red light for the thread icon which can be manually switched on/off by the streamer depending if they are live or not? Also saves people some time clicking on streams which may or may not be up.

Why don't we do something like arena junkies has? It's just a list of who is streaming

i'm all for the whole streaming section. because in all honesty i didn't really like cluttering up the regular bracket page
 
my stream is the only stream of relevance

i can speak from personal experience stream sub-forums are a good way to lose all attention at streams! people wont go look elsewhere other than the 19s page. Put a sticky or something in this thread instead. PLS KEEP 19 STREAMS IN 19 SUBFORUM. or something like solomid.net stream integration
