US TC Reflections

It's just painfully obvious that Chewie lives in his own little bubble. Doesn't even realize he basically became B team FC for SR over the weekend. I saw Pizza with the flag more than him.

**** I think even Zeiren gave him a run for his money.

im still wondering what happened with that 3 stacks flag drop at SR GY where chewie died trying to run across mid and the only reason they stayed in the tournament was because of big moran and pizza got the repick

yeh he got solo'd by hunter without flag :/

I knew the chat would come up sooner or later.

The difference was we made you wait around for maybe 10 minutes before we decided to just yolo q & play out whatever happened. It was our mistake, ect. It was also like 10pm est when that happened in our first series.

I can assure you a 10 minute wait at 10pm & a 30-40 minute wait at 3am (it was like 11am for others on my team) are not the same thing.

Again, the decision had to come down to the myrm. We weren't crying for a DQ like many people were, we asked for a point, it was denied. This is a perfect example of where rules were bent whether you want to acknowledge it or not. AA was dq'd the day before after 20 minutes of the exact same situation. Our delay was nearly double that & nothing happened at all.

Rules need to be clearly written & upheld for every team involved if he plans to run future tournaments. That's all that needs to be said.

The reason which Sudo points out here is EXACTLY what PING was trying to combat early on when we fought against AE and EBLG. We KNEW that this would become an issue if the rules were not upheld early on and attempted to crush any possibility to abuse this "rule" quickly so that any team that was in the finals would not have to deal with it.

This was met with a tremendous level of backlash from the community who obviously has demonstrated their inability to have any kind of foresight of risks and their associated consequences.

To SR/JCM: I apologize for the delays that came to you guys. We had uncovered a massive and absolutely UNINTENDED use (which the CONCEPT of was covered in the written rules) of an in game mechanic which we wanted to tackle AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE so that NO team would have to deal with it down the line. Please believe me when I say that we DID NOT draw any pleasure or satisfaction from pushing our personal and long-time friends out or causing the other teams delays.

In the PING situation which caused the resulting delay for your games, the same issue of subbing and not having a full roster was ADDITIONALLY brought up as well. We AGAIN tried to maintain the consistency of the rules. But of course, as was the theme of this TC, inconsistencies and discrepancies were allowed to reign freely and we were eventually almost entirely shut down.

PING, in collaboration with players from other guilds, attempted to the best of our ability to maintain the integrity of the rules and of this tournament, but due to circumstances and decisions that were made we weren't able to do so.

If my guild is the group that has to be crucified publicly because someone has to burn in this little rag-tag forum witch hunt which so many of you deem necessary, so be it. But as we, and many of the leaders within the community, entirely know, did our absolute best to keep this tournament as clean as possible. We additionally addressed the issues that WFS brought up very early and we were, as a group, very forthcoming in anything we thought may be a violation of rules.

Congratulations SR on your victory. JCM you guys were amazing and I stuck it out late purely because I wanted to see you guys truly shine after having so many practice skirmishes with you. I only wish I could have commentated your Finals as it would've been an honor. Please know that had the committee and we as ENTIRE community been cognizant of risks and issues and dealt with them in a timely manner, none of the problems you had would have actually occurred.

EDIT: And if the members community are truly in this bracket to better it and see it foster, I ask you to not propagate the mob mentality of twitch chat and further sully our community's message to the public. Please hold yourselves to a higher standard and please refrain from demonstrating some of the awful lack of sportsmanship I witnessed throughout the night in chat by many recognizable names.

As I look down and see all the names closely monitoring everything that is being said. I hope that you remember this will leave an everlasting mark in twink history.

Shameful to say the least.

I was trying to keep this professional but since we're diving into firing shots @ people on my team, a guy who literally stayed up until 11am to make sure we could finish our games I suppose i'll respond to it.

Roula played this cup infinitely better than you. In fact, almost every FC in this tournament did. It got to a point your team was sending 4-5 people to help you pick the flag due to your inability to do anything yourself. You might as well forfeit your tournament winnings to your team for babysitting you the past few months. This thread didn't turn into a team vs team flame fest until you made it one. You've always acted like an irrational child over the years & it's lead to most people not liking you, shocker.

I can assure you i'm not here looking for your respect. In case I haven't' made it painfully obvious already I don't respect your play & I don't respect your attitude.

lol you're lost once again like usual.

we broke people to match what they broke every time.

not even gonna respond to the other garbage, that's obviously a huge waste of time seeing as you think roula played well lmao

Your guild stream sniped. Its not on you to preach sportsmanship...

Wait we waited 45 minutes because 1 shaman had high latency...?

Yep.

Meanwhile a couple teams queued after their players got ddos'd or continued to play 9v10.

It's completely on the players to look after their connections, but it just goes to show the bias of the admin at the end.

Are you kidding me? Roula did way better than you did in this whole tournament.. He made lots of clutch plays including when he faked bigmoran off top of gy.. Lol. You had to have at least 3 people to babysit you across..

I know people are hating on PING for some of the decisions we made during this tournament, but there is a very clear reason why we chose to make those decisions.

Imagine Zeiren was unable to play those games, or if Grizzle had been hit off, and they were literally unable to play a 10v10 because they simply didnt have enough people on their roster, do you let them sub out of their team? PING made the decision to uphold the rules as they were written because we were cognizant of the impact it could have on the rest of the tournament. We were making a statement that rules are rules, and if we let EBLG or AE slide, who's to say WFS,JCM,SR,GSC etc couldn't do the same. We were literally trying to prevent the controversy of what is happening now. We also stated we would wait all night to play AE/EBLG with their full roster. Same thing with Harvest.

Also, the GSC thing was a clear exploit (which is in the rules), im not going to reply to any arguments here about wether or not it was, or really anything about that situation but Myrm, you should have made a ruling in 5 minutes instead of having a conversation with us for an hour or whatever it was. It was draining for all of us.

I had words with some members of the community who thought that it wasn't an exploit, or at the very least was "grey area" and my position on that is this; if you think we are scummy twinks because we dont let teams sub outside their roster, take a look at the other teams(yes, teams) in the community who were willing to hide VERY questionable strategies from the community to cheese the **** out of some games and pull a win, undermining the tournament, the community, and the other teams. ANYTHING grey area that I was doing in regards to jumps was brought out in the open far in advance of the twink cup, and rules were decided, and what i was doing was explicitly said to be allowed. You can go back and look at my post and see where i said that i did it to try and bring it to the attention of the community. Multiple teams were aware of this hearthstone deltion "strategy", and were planning to use it. Nobody brought it up.

I really am disappointed with the lack of honour and legitimacy some teams had coming into this tournament, in my opinion, everyone should be on a fair playing field. Your wins should come from strategic movement, composition, or coordination, not opening your ******* gm tab. I'd also like to say this, apart from some random toy dropping from SR, they were one of the most respectable teams in the tournament when it came to the rules, to my knowledge. As far as I know, they are one of the few teams who weren't ready to pull out an exploit in a back against the wall situation.

To those saying what was done didnt have an impact on the game? Sure it did, our gauntlet was 'broken' and we were forced to regroup after a wipe instead of just sending our team out again. there was LITERALLY no way we could have lost that game in the gauntlet situation, we could have had another attempt at breaking it, and it likely could have been successful.

Oh, and about the Ele force on the Sader swapping? Here are the rules HB,Pizza, and I wrote out months ago. It isn't my fault the rules committee ****** up on being clear, JrBigChief was not breaking ANY RULES, when this was all discussed ages ago and people were CLEARLY AWARE that you were able to swap from Sader to Ele. Go look at HB's podcast covering the topic.

"-*THIS RULE APPLIES TO ARMS WARRIORS*
Weapon enchant buff stacking. You are not allowed to swap from crusader to landslide, landslide to crusader, crusader to crusader or landslide to landslide. If any of these procs overlap, or any stacking of 2 or more proc buffs, you will forfeit the game. "

SO TO ALL THOSE GIVING **** TO PING

**** you

P.S. I have love for GSC, I think they beat us mid when no other team really seemed like they could. Eu love, all that ****, think you guys have some dope players but its ****** this happened and its really a statement about the community overall, not just you guys.

First of all I'd like to start out by saying, you guys were the biggest bitches over every little detail in the tournament, and I don't say that lightly. There is a fine line between being sportsmanlike and giving the other team a break (Clearly a team that doesn't even pose a threat), and being a stuck up **** that doesn't have any sympathy for teams that were literally a group of guys that really wanted to participate in this tournament, so at the last second they put a team together to have some fun. Then when they run into a bit of difficulty you guys are absolutely relentless and draw out every ******* game in the tournament, AND still lose. Effectively gaining nothing and taking every ounce of sportsmanship from the 2015 Twink Cup.

Sometimes guys it's about having fun and letting other people have fun as well. I just didn't expect this out of someone that said "It's not about the money, It's about the community." Straw Poll

You were a great tune up for the challenging games later on, thanks for letting us shake off our rust.

Try harder next year

I'm guessing this is Darkchewie. First off, if you want to call our series a warm up, then I'll feel better about being straight up about it. There was nothing easy about it for you guys; maybe in game 3 when we had way too many errors, but in Game 1 you got crushed and we should have won game 2 as well, except Pizza made an amazing solo play, assisted by Zeiren with great positioning. If you want to come here and start disrespecting people, than maybe you should take a look at your own play. You are nowhere near the top FC Druid, quite the contrary actually. You are your teams weakest link BY FAR. Anyone on Skill Ratio knows that I have a lot of respect for them as a team and players, and I am merely speaking against what I see as complete and utter BS. I think the majority of your guild would also be willing to say that the series vs. my guild was no series for you to simply "shake your rust off." So how about showing a bit of modesty instead of trying to declare yourself something you certainly are not, and take shots at others, and my guild.

Muskie i can't even begin to go into your plays this weekend they were absolutely hilarious tho. Anyone watching the streams saw and understood. As I stated in my interview last night you're bias and clueless when it comes to anything in warsong and didn't see the benefit of resto Druid boomy duel carrying .. Again I won't explain it's too obvious. You just couldn't handle me calling our your guild in twitch chat all good tho.

anyone watching the play you mentionned above saw it was obviously a click problem with me dropping the flag that actually happened to me one other time that over the weekend that was unfortunate and not figured out until the tournament was almost over. And yeah I got chased down by a hunter as I ran distraction up the right side and died, if I stopped moving I was dead again anyone with a brain could see that.

I'm sorry you can't comprehend these things

Look at your own players first. Tryna steal wins by loop holing rules, no respect for your guild after that

Your guild stream sniped. Its not on you to preach sportsmanship...

Again, there was no effort by my team to violate any rule. Obviously this is hearsay and this will turn into a she-said he-said if we go back and forth, but I am truly curious as to why Myrm or any other leader wasn't notified if this was truly the case.

I actually personally jumped into the Stream Team CV chat and spoke to HB/Bigmoran/Pat about increasing stream delay to 5 min+. If we were stream sniping, I ask why I'd sabotage my team's alleged strategy.

well it was a good tourney a lot of people saying we where the ones delaying when we where rdy to play 3 hours before any of our first games and on top of that at any giving minute during games so it wasn't only us stalling we had to wait for some time for a rule to be made on the body rez it should have been dealt with faster it wasn't our fault, we had my people talking to mryms people talking with gsc's people they should have just decided quickly the wait effected everyone the same even our team our mojo was as pumped as it once was.But I think people planned this weeked way in advance its not fair to them if other teams where short on players and couldn't play the tourney sure play some games is what its all about but I didn't event the rule DQ I think wat eliot said was right maybe make the rules more to how u want games to play out the rules should have been a cap penality with team reciving a cap at the end of a game that way no one would wanna break a rule for fear it would hurt your team more. or even a replay of the game I would prefer a replay of the game specially if a rule was broken for a win.

I am a team PING member and a lot of people sitting there pointing a finger saying scum I got NP with it feel free to say it maybe we should have been DQ maybe we shouldn't I said it before I didn't stack my procs but I also have every weapon proc u might wanna try and believe me I try them all and most games u will see every proc from a crusader right to a ele force icy chill battlemaster proc from me cuz im always testing them in different situations but come tourney I went over the rules and I went into tourney thinking ok ill play by the rules that's what its all about there a lot of jumps and tricks I could have done not just me others but that didn't happen do to the rules next time take DQ rule out if u want no one to use it no matter the prize no matter the rule it will be used and fought over.
