Questions from a level 10.

So I used to be really big in the 10s community and enjoyed the bracket quite a lot. Life took me another direction and I quit WoW for quite a while and am considering giving it another go, but I'm very behind on what's changed and what the current situation is like. Anyone want to toss me a bone and help me figure this out? Looking around finds mixed messages of 10s are dead and 10s are fine. I've seen some updates I need to get for gear and the like but I'm more interested in if the investment is worthwhile or if I should just leave it be. Opinions and advice appreciated!

I'd recommend just going to 19. 10s scale up to the same item level as level 19s do. So 10s are pretty even with 19s except youre missing some KEY abilities... so youre just a burden to your team

Yeah, 10's are pretty much dead. The only reason to keep your twink at 10 would to be as a trophy toon. Level 10's scale up to level 19, but they are missing some of the abilities that 19's have so it becomes a disadvantage. I would recommend leveling up to 19

On the plus side, 19s are really active and are getting ton of exposure from the twink cup. It could even be...a new golden age.

So, at least there is an option for you in low-level twinking.

World pvp and duels can still be fun on a level 10 because of how ridiculously secondary stats scale. However, getting killed by frustrated levellers who log to their mains gets old quite quickly.

Those people should have never have rolled on a PvP server in the 1st place if the are bitching about getting ganked.
But making them log onto Daddy/Mommy is fun!

Hey there! I hope you did not level up your twink just yet. You will notice that the people who responded to your post are all level 19 twinks So dont listen to them, they know very little about 10 twinks.

If you want my advice, coming from another 10 twink veteran, park your toon there and leave it as is! Update it to your hearts content but do not level it up! Who knows, maybe in the coming patches the 19s will be the ones rerolling to 10 Its not like if we never saw such a thing happen.

Also, 10s are not that terrible. The people above make it seem like they cant do well in BGs. Thats false. The only disadvantage you have is that you have fewer spells (like 1 or 2), and your base damage is lower. However, several 10 twinks class/spec can outperform 19 class/specs. However, you never see those 19s being told to reroll (Bias much?)

Do not level a 10 twink. That would be silly. However, it would be even sillier to not make a new 19 twink.

It only takes 30-60 min to get to level 10 nowadays. Naturally, it would only have enchanted heirlooms but you could still have plenty of fun in BGs on it while you are leveling your way up to 19. After all, it is about fun!
