i need an armory of a 100% BiS glass cannon rogue

coolbank

Legend
title says al my buddies and i are making rogues becauseits their first time twink in ages so why not in the most active bracket!

That rogue is nowhere near BiS.

Erizel @ Draenor - Community - World of Warcraft this is BiS. Just change power ring to Agi ring and it is 100% BiS

He changed gear after that link was posted, think it was pretty much same gear as Erizel.

BTW it's not 100% bis unless you have gfd head enchant, gfd cloak chant, gfd shoulder chant, gfd leg chant, gfd glove chant, gfd wrist chant and gfd weapon :D And maybe some other shit i forgot to mention.

Some kind of combination of gear between these 2 would be 100% bis I guess :p
Tapøut @ Bleeding Hollow - Community - World of Warcraft
Abihaj @ Aggramar - Community - World of Warcraft

I know OP probably wanted a 100% bis non-gf'd armory, but sorry I couldn't help myself going full autist mode
kthxbai

edit:jk even those 2 armories combined don't have all the shit for 100% bis xd

seems to be a lot of question as to what BiS means. Perhaps at level 19 this WAS BiS... But not now..
Standard Issue Prisoner Shoes
Hound master gloves or ilev35 Gloves of the Monkey *10 armor, 9 stam, 9 agil* or of the bandit 7/7/7crit (from sachel) (I'm leaning toward the bandit)

So for glass cannon, I would go with Standard Issue Prisoner Shoes. Any combination of Charged gear of agility or Charged gear of the tiger. (+8 agil or +5agil/+5 crit) I would lean toward the extra crit. PvP trinket from mor'shan ramparts or ashenvale (10 crit / 4 stam) and your choice of 2nd trinket.

those bracers of agility if you can get them
Either the neck from scarlet monestary or the BoE one. Probably the BOE since your xp is off and scaling will not factor.
Since you are going glass cannon, Im assuming you rolled subt. It seems most subs are enchanting versatility or crit at lower levels. Personally, i dont think one gives any majorly OP advantage over the other. Although, with elemental force enchants, I would probably lean more toward the crit.

Standard issue prisoner shoes scale exactly the same as feet of the lynx, so no need to change them.
Hound trainer's gloves scale to less agility and crit than Ashen gloves. Satchel gloves of the monkey scale to 9/9, but ashen gloves give 9agi 6crit 6stam, so if you're going for glass cannon there's no point choosing monkey gloves over ashen. Bandit gloves are again inferior scaling. 2 agility for 1 crit 1 stam is a bad tradeoff in terms of dps.

Rogues cannot get the 10crit 4stam trinket, only classes that have caster specs can get it.

The bracers Erizel has are already BiS agility. His necklace scales better for agility than boe or SM neck.
" Probably the BOE since your xp is off and scaling will not factor."
Not sure what this means, because scaling works exactly the same for levels 20-29, no matter if you're xp on or xp off.

Oh, Sorry, I meant xp off so you will not scale into the 30-39, 40-49 levels, it will just stay at the 29 scaling.

SO... Having looked at numerous sites, i finally found a simulator. I know this is a rogue post, but Im pretty much running a BM geared as WW (I changed spec to get gear, and will change to WW now), but the gear for rogue / monk are pretty much the same, (I haven't tested boots yet, just testing gloves here.

Here is what i found...

SIMS

Iamkane
Brewmaster
Gloves-9/9 agility

DPS Ranking:
1342 100.0% Raid
1342 100.0% Iamkane_Active

Iamkane
Brewmaster
Gloves of the bandit-7/7/7 crit

DPS Ranking:
1346 100.0% Raid
1346 100.0% Iamkane_Active

Iamkane
Brewmaster

Hound Trainer Gloves

DPS Ranking:
1342 100.0% Raid
1342 100.0% Iamkane_Active

Here is what i used, it seems pretty easy.

No matter your level, all items in the 20-29 bracket scale to ilvl 34, meaning some stats will change. Afak simcraft isn't too useful for PvP since it doesn't take item scaling into account.

but simcraft does give a baseline overall dps comparison for items of roughly the same level. By and large, it is also going to depend on your other gear and enchants. For agility or crit, go with the 777.

If you have elemental force go with hound master gloves, in which case, I use a haste enchant on neck, cloak, rings, gloves, boots and bracers. I'm still working on my 29 set, but at the 19 level, that build will even burn down the most over geared healer, largely due to elemental force rppm being affected by haste. More haste = more rppm as well. Since elemental force is doing something like 33% of my dmg,

I may do a complete switch of enchants once i get the rest of my set, swapping EF for Dancing steel. I've found EF really suffers as you approach level 36. Keeping in mind, i used the bm monk for gathering gear and testing, im now building a rogue, (hence the EF-haste build.)

The problem I am finding, is that I have not found any current PVP ratings for gear which includes scaling factor or a simcraft version to compare items with, SO failing that, Im just using the basic simcraft to compare items with my current build.

You can't use simcraft for calculating DPS in PvP! Stop posting false information

I changed my gear back to how it should be. I need to replace my 8 attack power bracers with 8 agility and the 4 agility enchant is better then the 5 attack power enchant.

Here's what I think a max ap build would use:

Slither guard helmet
Scouts medalion ( level 18)
Gloomshroud armor
glowing lizardscale cloak.
Emissary cuffs of agility
Shadowfang
blackvenomblade
gloves of the fang
highlanders leather girdle
standard issue prison boots/feet of the lynx
charged gearx2 of agility
pvp trinket
pvp trinket/agm.
trollsbane leggings.

For enchants elem force is best, but I see some people rocking landslde and other ap enchants for fun, but in all usefulness for most fights, which are short elem force provides the most useful bonuses.

Personally I don't like full ap, its cool but I think crit is a very important stat for a 29 rogue, as elem force procs from crits, and it procs ALOT.

I use a more balanced build personally. I stack crit and elem force, and I also mix in some haste, since haste also effects elem force enchant procs, energy reg, and attack speed. Dont forget deadly poison also procs elem force so crit and haste come in here as well. I also have enough stamana to actually survive a little while after the opener, rather than getting 2 shot, thus providing more sustained dps on a flag carrier.

Here is my armory: Chickenwings @ Anvilmar - Community - World of Warcraft

I have all the straight dps gear, minus the charged gears and cuffs. I have tried all sorts of combinatons and this is what I prefer after experimenting for a while for my playstyle. Hell, ive even beat people 2v1 in arena because of the survivability this set has. When I enter a bg or arena, after my gear scales I have 4k hp, 40 percent crit, and 299 ap, with about 5 percent haste, which isnt much but I think it's still a bonus. My goal was to achieve 40 percent crit while still getting 300 ap, and this setup got that goal achieved. only thing id still try to get maybe for myself is a charged gear of the tiger instead of my crafted ring.

I had to think about boots, i could have used boots of the foolhardy OR the satchel boots of the bandit. The difference was with the satchel boots I gave up one agility for one crit, but since im already at my goal of 40 percent crit I went with the quest boots for the extra AP.
