Is Defians 5 piece Bis for a Hunter?

Hello.

Yesterday I logged my first twink I ever made (back in vanilla wow).

I noticed that I have the Defians chest. And that I even have the belt equipped and the boots in bank.

I know the chest isn't possible to get anymore so I was wondering if the 5 peace set is BIS for hunter twinks on level 19?

I'd be keen to find out! Should test it. My thoughts are that you'd be a little squishy, but you'd have loads of ap!
 
Think it was stated in the 19 rogue BiS thread that it was not BiS due to the lack of crit and the fact you dont get 50% more AP from agility, which just rogue gets and thats why its BiS for them.


Edit: heres the link to the thread where it was brought up , I should also say that im not realy into theorycrafting, so someone else might fill me out with more accurate numbers / opinions :)

Blackened defias set is not BiS for any class, as said above due to the lack of crit.


offtopic: what does your leg chant scale to?
 
This is not considered like BiS, but il you stack défias u will get more agi and AP than u will with traditional stuffing, but not loosing so many stat.
If u have the defias chest and all defias item, give u pleasure and go for it, if u love full AP stetup ^^
 
No EF on hunters. Going full ap through defias set will give biger numbers but only slightly
 
defias is bis for agility stacking, you gain 3 agility more than using

lynx, boa legs (with primal leg reinforcement), defias waist & fang gloves and gloomshroud.

You lose our on the crit from legs + gloom tho

idk if the math of this is correct just put the numbers together in my head =)

defias set vs gloom + feet of the lynx + defias belt + gloves of the fang + loom leg(with 4 agi 3 crit enchant) is 3 agi 5 stam 5 arcane resist vs 11 crit 2 haste

defias set vs satchel belt + silver embossed boots + gloves of the fang + loom legs + chest (more balanced set) is 10 agi 5 arcane resist vs 23 crit 2 haste

you decide what is BiS, these are the numbers

Another option is to make a new hunter and use the gloomshroud set with Thrall's Gift which reduces the difference in agility from 3 to 1.

Material, with that twink you could work realy nice, just buy him some looms, get seal of argas and honor ring of wsg. Maybe do some other enchants and than rock with your hunter!

Yes full defias would be bis but normal set is pretty damn fuking close, like once you get a gun proc, would you prefer the crits and the extra armor and hp? That is the question you have to ask yourself. Overall I recon defias is a damn close second cause when you dont have gun proc you will be pushing out like 0.001% more damage.
