Venom Web Fang

I have one but I'm not subscribed. As crystalpall stated, it is grandfathered and one of the rarest daggers for 10-14 bracket.
 
I have 2k tags in Rarity (addon which I recommend before ambitious grinds)
Idk whether its confirmed GF or not but the result wasn't fruitful.
Although the ambiance of being in dark woods with the light from Westfall shining through the trees and across the river is pleasant.
So not a bad place to waste life and gank spideys.
 
I killed around 2k of those venom web spiders to test their new loot tables for WoD, no dagger, and the same drops as prior to the expansion.
 
Can be obtained again on P2P, a long with tons of other previously grandfathered items via garrison supply crate of sorts.


Edit: Actually, it was never grandfathered. A GM responded in early MoP confirming it still drops, but with an abysmal rating.

And how often do you trust gms regarding drop rates...
 
I'm 90% sure it's gf'd. There were like none on any of the auctions for a few months while I was searching for them in mop. Unless salvage yard is giving them out, I do believe its still gf'd.
 
I just opened a ticket, and it is confirmed still on the loot tables. I can upload picture if need be.
 
Oh man that dagger brings me back. I had quite a few of them back in Vanilla. I'll check if any of my characters that are still around on my first realm have any left.
 
GMs who handle tickets have access to logs of things that have been removed and not removed and are generally reliable.

Is there even any evidence whatsoever that a single mob in Duskwood had it's loot table changed, in any way at all in WoD? Because there haven't been any notes or anything suggesting that. And this item dropped for both myself and a handful of others report it dropping for them during Cata. And I see no difference in it's loot table now.

So when the first GM tells you its GFd and you later edit your post and say the second GM told you it aint GFd.... seems pretty obvious to me never to lisent to a GM regarding drop rates right there.

Idk about Duskwood specifically, but it's pretty obvious that loot tables were adjusted for WoD

A GM never told me it was GF'd, re-read my post. I just skimmed through and said how GF'd items can now be gotten through salvage crates. Once I remembered the item a bit more, and recalled it dropping in Cata for me, and a few others, I opened a ticket and they confirmed it still drops.

I think this happens too much, honestly. Something with an abysmal drop rate gets accused of being GF'd, and people insist GMs have no idea if it is or isn't.

They might not have that kind of info, I remember reading a twitter dev response saying basically that not all changes are added too the patch notes, drop rates/loot tables being one of those. I'm curious about the item though. If it dropped in cataclysm after the small duskwood revamp and no changes have been made since, I'm not sure why it wouldn't drop now. Do we have any sources from people who did loot it in cata?
