Looking to start a new toon...

Hiya everyone,

Long time reader-First time poster, so sorry in advance. But as the title says, I am looking to reroll a new toon for my 19 guild. We are starting to form up 10 mans and I want to make a new toon for it. I have a rogue already that is very well geared, and was looking for something else. Soooo if anyone has any ideas as to a fun toon for 19 and a link to an armory with that player type that would be awesome. This site is great, thanks everyone.

(I played my friends 19 lock like.. a week ago but it's not perfect)
 
if you're looking to get a spot in your guild's 10 mans, i would see what your guild is lacking, along with what you like to play. For the most viability, imo roll druid. You can FC in premades, and get a heal set for arenas or pugs. travel form is op too :p

if that doesnt float your boat, go shaman, hunter...whatever you want - but if you want a premade slot, make sure you're a class that is a good fit for a premade.
 
Well my guild said that they trust I will make a top notch twink for whatever class I choose. They really would like a holy pally, but I don't know anything about them. Are they viable, easy to make, fun at all. Any input on holy pally would be great, if not any other suggestions besides druid/shaman since there are wayyyyyy to many of them.
 
holy pally for premades?

i think you'd be better off as a priest, you can go O or D, and you'll be an overall better healer than a holy pally
 
the one i can think of right now is healingbabe - cause she's got the explorer thread down a ways. Go to the 'summons for explorer' or w/e its called, and check out her armory. Looks pretty solid to me

I roll a 19 holy pally

Their alot of fun just armory Crillipally (if there are gear spots missing its because its on the shammy I'm lvling to 19 lol). The class is alot of fun and I can go toe to toe w/ some of the best healers on my battlegroup healing wise. They are not a solo class except for against warriors and huntardz who cant interrupt besides ravage. Hand of Freedom and LoH are always lovely bonuses and you have AoE heals w/ glyph. Besides pre-3.2 Holy pallies are one of the best FCs since their such a pain to take down lol. Just play a class you like and or are comfortable with!

Go priest if you're making a healer. ;3

They like everyone has said are far more flexibility.

Also they are not annoying ghost wolf crutching annoyances.
 
shammys can dispell too! and priests r just too squishy!!!! my healadin (not always but often) keeps up w/ some of the best priests on my battlegroup. My guildies shammy is a much better healer then i am though. Who doesn't love having hand of freedom on those pesky mages and shammys? I dk any1 who doesnt + LoH + bubble!!! and forcing you to use burst heals is really important. You will lose your targets if you just keep HoTs up ( i can 400 eviscerate crit on my rogue lol) throwing shield and tht little HoT they have is not enough.

In terms of what gear you want to get first really depends on what you want to do with your priest. PUGs mainly? Premades? Offense? Defense? Some Arenas? Then there is playstyle that you could consider when making gear/race choices.



Then after you have determined that stuff you will also want to have multiple sets of gear for different situations if you really want to go all out.
 
Pallies really aren't very useful anymore. They have been replaced in just about every category they were remotely useful for in premades. Sure, they have some great abilities such as LoH and BoF, but in my eyes, that doesn't justify giving them a premade slot (with a few very rare exceptions).

No offense man, but I lol'd when I read this. Not sure who the priests are in Vengeance but sounds like they may have some room for improvement, if played right priests have a lot of survivability. Also fyi shamans can't friendly dispel and it's also possible for a priest to keep hots up without losing targets.
