The story behind 2 Slayer's Bands.

MetalIllness

Criminally Insane
It was a bright summer day. The birds were blowing, the wind was singing and the trees refused to heal once again. A simple Night Elf Monk with an identity crisis and a desire for apparel from the other faction decided that being a Pandaren on Horde side was just more awesome. A race change followed, but with Pandaren being unleashed to the continents of Azeroth so recently, there were difficulties changing to Pandaren. Such a difficulty happened to the Monk in our story.
Initially the race change had gone according to plan, or so it would seem. Rolling it's way through the Ghostlands on a quest for a particularly powerful artifact, the Slayer's Band, the fresh Night Elf turned Panda had a blast, right until the following day. The unfortunate Monk was now stuck on a login screen, eventually turning to an error message. Doctor GM was contacted, who declared that bugs were occuring a lot for desperate lesser beings wishing to join the ranks of the amazing Pandaren race. Next followed a reset back to Night Elf with the removal of any items and quest completions obtained while living as a Panda.
Again, a race change was initiated, which, this time, went exactly as it should have gone. Lost items were restored as a kind gesture, among those items was the precious Slayer's Band. However with quests and all reset, the Monk went right back to the Ghostlands and found that indeed, the quest could be done once more and a second Slayer's Band could be obtained. This has lead to one happy Panda with two Slayer's Bands and a lot of curious twinks hoping to exploit the system in a vain effort to become even half as amazing as the Monk of this story.

Lesson of the day: become a victim of bad luck, get compensated and perhaps that compensation might turn out to counter your initial bad luck.
