Heartseeker Scope Vs Flintlocke's Woodchucker - Lord Blastington's Scope of Doom

With Lord Blastingon it does proc alot 62 agi, but when Gnomish X Ray or Flintlock Woodchucker proc it's 2 guy dead 100 %.

in my eyes you shouldn't use the hearthseeker one on daily basis, you just swap to it when you got proc with woodchucker or Gnomish x ray.

I like rolling with haste scope, it's around 13% passive haste so better constant dps, faster energy regen and faster steady shots. Proc scopes are nice when they proc, but the procrate on every one of them are low and I'd rather have full control and high damage at all times than have that 5-10 sec of really high burst every few minutes, and missing out on damage rest of the time.

Not saying passive stats scopes are bis, just stating this to maybe give you a different point of view aswell.

Oh and if you wanna stick on proc scope, I'd definitely go for woodchucker.

^ totally agree

currently using the diamond refractor scope and liking the +11 constant damage, was using gnomish x-ray scope, killer if and when it procs...but procs seems near never. i was gonna try wood and blast scopes but after reading up on them decided not to

i think constant is reliable and always there. the scopes that do +crit, +haste, or +dmg are cheap and easy to give a try. once we are able to mail BOAs cross realms i will do 3 ranged weapons with a different constant scope

Lord blastington has a really low proc rate from what i've tested and seen.

Passive scopes are probably better for drawn out fights, but in most scenarios i think Flintlocke wins out due to 113 agility is a buttload.

"in most scenarios" doesn't really make sense, considering it only procs like 5 times a bg o_O

Of course it depends on what you mean with 'scenario' in this post, tho

wut

its been proccing a lot more than 5 times in my experience

gnomish seems to proc the most out of the proc scopes. or i'd go with 30crit for the passive scopes.

Lord blastington proc rate = dancing steel procrate, it's the others one who proc less (Gnomish X Ray / Flintlock Woodchucker)

every scope will do fine against F2P's anyways, i would say keep Flintlock Woodchucker cuz the rabbid can crit for 300-350, 113 agi = 226 PA. Then if you don't have hunter 80 + to apply Flintlock woodchucker, i would go Gnomish X ray : same low proc rate as flintlock but 300 PA, no agility so no boost crit, the very nice proc rate of Lord Blastington scope of the doom = DS proc rate but really low Agi compare to the 2 one who proc less. O in my eyes not worth it.

As passives scopes i've tried only the 30 crit one which make me break 50 % crit which is awesome.

I haven't tried the x-ray scope out, but have spent significant time using both flintlocke and 30 crit. In the course of a BG, the 30 crit will lead to more padding of damage, but the flintlocke is just amazing for actually landing kills, and for that reason I use it. Granted, this only really matters against organized groups of 24s.

Finally someone who spread the truth instead of wrong infos.

Tomorrow I can mail boa gun to my 80 hunter on different server and apply Woodchucker. I rarely play Metro anymore so when I do I want small mammals flying out of gun.

Lord blastington proc rate = dancing steel procrate

Any info on this? I haven't used blastington's, but from what I can find it's 1 PPM. It's not on the RPPM system. That'd make its proc rate more like mongoose than dancing steel.

From wowhead comments, Flintlocke's is 10% proc chance/40 second ICD and X-Ray Scope is 2.5-3% proc chance/40 second ICD.

I've really only played with Flintlocke's. I get a proc at least every minute or so, and things die when it procs. It's amazing. Hunters hit hard enough without a scope, so giving up 30 passive crit for ridiculous damage every minute is worth the trade imo.

I'd say Flintlocke's > Gnomish X-Ray Scope = Heartseeker > Blastington's.

The procs on the super scopes didn't happen much for me in tests so I went with the static haste one and am pretty happy with the results.

dancing steel procrate was 2.3 RPPM and on patch 5.3 was boosted another 15%, i do not believe Lord blastington scope has the same up time

just found this on thotbot in a thread for the scope 'According to Ghostcrawler (Source), the enchant has a 1 PPM, with no ICD on the chance to proc."

On the topic of looking at end game scopes; Im curious if any hunters here use a haste enchant scope for steady shot and then switch to a diff gun/bow for focus dump abilities..?
For me, its seems to be triggering some sort of weapon equip GCD and it doesnt let me immediately trigger my abilities...
