Well, this is depressing. I check out the guild directory and see something like "39s is dead". Is there really no one around still? Maybe just soloers here and there, or what? Is it that everyone is doing the f2p levels? Is there anyone at all left who even remembers me? >.<

I'm from EU and your name rings a bell (although a distant one). You happened to be a warlock on US?

Anyways, since 3.2, games at 39 have been going on now and then. I would not consider it completely dead though.

Edit: didn't you also have the same avatar back then? :p

Er, yeah. I kinda liked this avatar. ;P And I was a priest, not a warlock.

Ah, I recognize that name! Hey, and I think you mean last time you saw me was early wotlk. =P

And looking through that thread you linked, looks like 39s is as competitive as when I left it. Glad to see that.

Coming back?

hello, it's axelle. yes i am still around but my sub ran out a while ago.

Suh-weet Wooterbombers, welcome back Jadyn! Your avatar is almost like a captcha to prove it's really you. =) I'm glad someone linked that WoW forums thread -- 39s are still holding on.

I was just ramping up on XP-off as you left, so while we haven't met, Jadyn from Bloodlust was a well-known name.

To make a long story short and oversimplified, R9 helped revive the 39 bracket to Wednesday evenings, and helped resolve much of the cultural clash between those who wanted to grow the bracket and those who didn't want half-committed players ruining game quality.

The new patch will require things to settle a bit, but midbracket XP-off games continue to play. If Blizzard reins in out-of-control healing and fixes a couple of OP abilities, we're seriously looking at a potential golden age of twinking.

Interesting. I think I might keep watch then. RL is very different from what it used to be for me (I could go on and on about how I actually put to use some of what I learned as a forum troll), but right now I'm not resubscribing. I've just been hanging out on a popular WotLK private server, building twinks and having fun. Thought Ii'd see if anyone was around.who I knew.

This R9 person sounds pretty interesting though.

Wow, that's phenomenal. That's just... awesome. The lengths people are going to organize.... damn, I wish I had never had to leave, even if it was for the best. =( I wonder what could've happened if things had gone differently. The thing that really had me addicted at the time was that community organization thing, even more than playing games. XD

Well, at least it looks like my 39 priest could still compete if I got on her tomorrow. Not that I would know how to play the game at this point. Sure, I'm melting faces in WotLK, but Cata alone changed a lot...

Hey Jadyn, this is Persevere/Schutlz/Pinworms...I quit WoW over two years ago, a few months before the release of Cata. One of my favorite things about the 39 bracket was the relative balance between classes. After reading the Cata changes, I could tell the balance was going to be massively screwed up, so I moved on.

Its too bad when you quit when you did...you missed a period of twinking where it was twink only games ( bg's for xp limited toons only), and the population was still good enough to get consistent games. Only lasted a few months, but it was quite fun.

Now I'm playing Guild Wars 2 now, which has been pretty impressive. In fact, thats the reason why I came on these forums...to see if anyone I recognized was playing GW2 also

Schultz! I still got your pvp video on my hard drive. ;)

Yeah, while I've been doing WotLK twinking on a private server, what I really miss is that community we had. Even with all the turmoil from time to time, it was what made playing WoW so special for me. Do you think it's worth it to try GW2? I've heard some pretty good stuff about it, but I also know it's not going to be the same as WoW (not a bad thing, just a different thing).

I have been playing GW2! Not sure if you remember me though. :p

Hey Jadyne, i never really played much with you but i do remember you well because, i played 29's and when we used to use WoW Forums back in the days for Bloodlust batttlegroup. i always saw your face popping up in 39's. I was a 29 Forum freek back in those days. My 39 twink was a Warrior, his name is Bulleit and he was a orc still 39.

You may remember me but it was so long ago. 29 Undead Priest Livingforce.

Yep, I remember Livingforce from the forums, and even Bulleit from 39s too. =D

I wonder if there are enough people around to start something on GW2... and where would be a good place to go to discuss that idea further...

I've been watching videos on GW2 today. Provided my (crappy) computer can run it at a reasonable rate, I might just get myself the game. XD

Oh sure, don't post on official forums, post here.

Welcome back, btw.

Lol, that's cause I haven't renewed my account. =P

And even if I was ready to, I can't even FIND my account. >.< Gonna have to fricking call customer support and backtrack with my old bank account... if that'll even work. =/

And thanks, btw. ;)

Jadyn?
JADYN!
How are ya man! Good to see you may be coming back!

Hey hey! I did a random google search of the wow forums for 39s, and found a toon named Smoffy posting just recently... and about me no less. Well, by recently I meant in the last month, but still, that was cool. XD
