Mocha's Resignation

Dear fellow community members,
As much as it hurts me to do this, I am stepping down as TI Moderator. As I have tried to improve the content of these forums to a friendly and constructive standard, I have failed to see my words influence anyone and therefore I have failed as a Moderator. I have made the decision to resign longer ago than you may think. I will no longer be visiting this site simply because it frustrates me to see people tear up their own family. I hesitated to accept the responsibilities of becoming Moderator simply because I was not sure that I could help. No matter how many of you dislike me for my harsh actions on your friends accounts for their own CoC breeches, I'd like to leave you with a few things:

This community is only as friendly and constructive as we choose to make it. I'm begging you all to consider what is more important, either having some enjoyment in cyber bullying others, or having a friendly atmosphere. If you do not change your priorities there will be nothing left in this community. Perhaps the big picture is more important and I urge you to reconsider that.

I am very sorry to depart with you all in a time of such dire need, but how can you help others when they are unwilling to help themselves? I encourage you all to put aside the trolling and the badmouthing because on the other side of any avatar is a human being. I'm sure many of you would love to call me "gay" for saying such emotional things, but that would only prove my point even further. I have set into action a series of events to help this site and its members so during my time away from this community I will still very much be present.

When you post anything on TI, please leave out the disrespectful content and please be constructive. You can always respectfully disagree to someone's comment.

My journey as a TI Staff member has been a rough one and I'll miss those of you who are actually friendly and/or constructive as often as possible. Please try to restore a sense of both of those aspects but also an aspect of respect. It's now up to you all to become leaders and steer this community back towards the light.

What series of events have you set in to action?

Just wanted to pop in to say that you will be missed as a moderator. Whether or not you feel like the work you did fell on deaf ears, I definitely felt as if your moderation helped keep TI positive.

Good luck with however you choose to spend your newly found free time and hope to see you around!

Mocha, I never got to be part of the staff with you, but I heard positive things. Even though I have no say-so anymore here, from a previous mod to a now previous mod, thank you for your time on TI.

You were a great Mod, Mocha. It's sad to see you go.. :l

I really did not see this coming. You were doing pretty good as a mod, improving as time went on.

Leaving the site altogether seems a bit drastic, but do what you gotta do. Patience is key -- believe me when I say I needed tons of that to get where I am now.

Can only agree with rsq, even if you feel like you didn't achieve quite what you wanted, you were a great mod and achieved plenty in my eyes. I'm sad to see you leave.

While we never crossed paths, your reputation for a strict line of civility garnered my respect. May your travels richly reward you.

OT: sad to see u step down man, u becoming a moderator was the only step in the right direction TI has/had made under the current ownership.

Thanks for helping steer this site in a good way in your time as moderator.
