T3 making a comeback in MoP

As it was posted yesterday on MMO-Champion:

The new Black Market feature will allow you to bid on rare mounts, pets and, as can be seen in the image, T3 parts.

One can hope but my guess is it's only placeholders as putting Ashes on AH would just force many into buying gold (as it will go for absurd amounts of money 500k +). In the end it would result in more bans :s

I don't think buying gold will be a viable option. Think on how rich some people (and specially high end guilds) are. Some items could easily get to the 1m mark.

I dont think it will be a huge problem as we do have T7 making it abit less atractive.
Still it would be damn expensive.

Currently, it seems the bid cap is at 214,748 gold. So, it would take a couple million gold and a lot of luck to get the 8 pieces (no rings in there at the moment).

The first few monthes are surely nearly unpayable,but after them the prices will break and you`ll get them fore a few gold each item (10-50k).Therefore in MOP the gold will rise hardly again,so NP for 60s twinks in the future to buy the whole t3.

atm that guy is rare spawn so sometimes it cost weeks before he just spawn lol and he dont always got level 60 stuff :-( have seen him now 1x at beta after 1 month lol

Black Market AH... will be insanely high prices, only goldfamers and gold buyers will be able to buy this since its gonna be bidding only.

nah not even gold buyers can afford em because nobody will buy 1m goold with cash.... also people under estimate the number of people on their servers who have insane amounts of gold?

You don't need the whole t3. I mean except if you really wanna get full transmogrification. Let me rephrase, I don't need the whole T3. I will only go for BBLP. Bracers, Breastplace, Legplates, Pauldrons. These 4 pieces make you BiS, the rest is garbage. BC rings, waist, boots, helmet are still bis over T3. And the T2 with 60% disarm is still very good vs T3. The T3 gloves are bis only dps wize, and yet it has 10% hit that goes to waste because with BBLP you are alrdy capped hit (for pvp).
So really I only need 4 pieces. And that is if the black market sell all 9, there is no data to sustain that currently, I've only seen the rogue T3 helm so far ?

Now concerning prices, I think it's going to be about what you said between around 30-50k, except maybe at launch, not even sure. People will want to keep their gold for ashes of alar, and/or any subsequent mount their could be. Also the T3 rogue set isn't that good looking that would justify hundreds of thousands golds into it.
Now if you are on one hell of a big server this might become a severe problem.
Also note that most "rich" people intend to stay that way, it's unlikely they will want to spend lots of gold into transmogrification. I would be surprised to see any piece go over 100k. And gold isn't that hard to make. You still have several months to be all over that.

Lastly T3 BBLP will only net you an extra 3% crit + the bonuses. I don't have the chardev, but I've looked. That's cool, but not game breaking either.
Anyway, anyone buying the other 5 pieces first, would be doing a monumental error in my opinion.

Overall this is a good news, people who fought tooth and nail to stay level 60 (instead of going 64), will be looking a lot cooler with T3 gear as 60 than 64. Not that I ever promote the cool factor. But I mean a level 60 holding several hundred thousands golds worth of equipment on his shoulders, that's gotta be high on the cool meter, I gotta give you that...

^^ Yeah im def looking forward to this. Im not all afraid of the competition as t7 makes it abit of a waste + most ppl will be trying to get their hands on mounts.
And Darko I dont think Sayune will be needing t3 (hint hint).
Been abit lacking in goals on my 60 sham lately with achievements more or less done, the announcing of account wide achievements didnt help that either... But atleast with this I have a new purpose.

T3 gear already has tmog replicas on most of them, as for 60-64 bracket....non-issue

there are TCG mounts on my servers AH as high as 999,999 gold

so the gold cap blizz is putting on black market AH is less that 25% of that

BMAH items will sell high at the start on high pop servers and then they will start to go down. extreme low pop servers will be able to get items dirt cheap.

low pop servers may become another method of obtaining items BMAH and transfering back to a higher pop server and undercutting the BMAH on the regular AH

you guys don't realize that this is blizzard's first step (for WoW) in the Diablo3-AH direction?

people would whine if they simply made those things purchasable with real money but this way, people will actually feel that they are given a chance to buy things that they would otherwise not be able to.

so instead of buying 1000k gold from a gold farmer for $1000 to buy Ashes, you can give blizzard $400 for it.
