(Bad?) Luck or something else

Last week I caught a http://www.wowhead.com/item=19806 (Dezian Queenfish) when only Fishing the last 15 minutes or so, today abt 75 minutes resulting in another Queenfish as well as (hence the post)...3 Brownell's Blue Striped Racers (http://www.wowhead.com/item=19803).



Not so paranoid to think it has to do with the Satchel controversy & Blizz sitting on its hand (the Racer grants the nerfed Fishing Boots; not Unique) but anybody else experienced any increase in Drop rates of the special fish?



(shouldn't matter but: 375 + WBFH + Strong pole ; the special Fish do stack)
 
Imo keefers angelfish and the 19 pound catfish are the 2 rarest

10 weeks of fishing on my huntard and still no rare fishes for me. Won the competition once, which i see as a small consolation prize for now.
 
While I appreciate the sympathy, that wasn't the point of the post. Keefer;s Fish can take forever, I know (never got it pre-Shattering on P2P, got it on two F2P Hordies). I was just surprised by the large number of the Racers (caught it but once pre-Shattering, same as the fishline one), which led me to asking wether other people had had similar experiences as if you go by the numbers from WoWhead (0.09%)the chance for 3 in a row is absurdly small.

Thanks, so it has happend more often, which makes it more likely they've upped the Drop rates on esp. the Racer.
 
I would say that you've been incredibly lucky, but unlucky that you haven't got what you wanted yet, keep going and you'll get it

I have spent a really long time chasing the +5 line and finally got it this week. Meanwhile I got several hats and boots. The same can be true in reverse of course, one of the 19s I fish with got two lines and still doesn't have a hat.
