Interesting Topic on EU Fora, copy to US?

Thanks to foresight, he mirrored it at the Quest Forum.

Dropping the minimum level of Quests would be a great improvement for Twinks, not just because we'd have more stuff to do, but because it would

a) help out with the GF issue;

2) make Head-gear available to all Classes and Faction at 20;

c) make spending time on your toon iso open a mailbox more relevant, so starting at a new server to help out wargames etc. would be less of an issue.

Of course, having a lot of GF Items I'd be 'trading in' in one sense, but this would be one of the few things Blizz could do that would make me seriously reconsider re-subscribing.

This is exactly the kind of idea that twinkers can latch onto and support. If you're in the EU, please take a few minutes to consider the proposal and add your support.

One of our favorite mistakes as twinkers is to ask for (or even expect) twinker-only solutions. We're lucky that Blizzard even offered us an XP-off option. And on very rare occasion, Blizzard does do things exclusively for twinkers. But much more often, twinker interests only get addressed when they're part of a larger issue.

Dumbing down the gameworld and making questing boring are perfect "larger issues" to tackle. By reintroducing orange and red quests into the game, players can enjoy WoW more, and many lower and middle XP-off brackets could gain some new gear options that would help those brackets.

Well done.

Agree 100% with you Bwappo, seeing the larger picture would be way more effective.

The only issue this change may have - lack of Strength Mail rewards for the 30-39 range, something that is already the case* - might actually become more visible as well, hopefully prompting Blizz to change some meaningless Plate rewards into useful Mail ones by simply adjusting the armor type.

*notable current offenders are:

- the Redpath Bracers from Hidden Treasures (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=27391; current min level 39);

- the would-be-great-but-now-a-miss Helm of the Thousand Needles from Spread the Word ( http://www.wowhead.com/quest=28160 ; current min level 38);

and, worst of all (damn you to hell, Ogron's Sash)

- Barthalomew's Belt from Like Rats (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=27620 ; current minimum level 39)

It's funny how in a game where Devs and players alike clamor for more Tanks, Tank rewards are so little looked after.

Starting Warriors and Paladins in DPS-two hander mode iso Tank sword-and-board isn't helping, either (also the prime cause for the blogosphere's claim that the first 10 levels are the most hardcore; the lethality of multiple-mob battles drops noticably with that simple gear change)
