Quest swapping no longer available

1 of the 5 GMs I've talked to, all said pretty much the same thing:



Apologies, Atychiphobia. Game Masters are no longer able to swap quest rewards for our players.

I think this changed this month, cause I changed another item for around 3 weeks ago. So be careful choosing quest rewards now!
 
ballsack was gunna swap my eyepatch for stocks shield after i got hat >_>

Because people abused it for the 19s bracket (maby even more brackets), thank them. They swapped old bfd quest items for the new quest ones. At 19 you are not able to pick up those new quests.

Also transmigging maybe is the answer to the change aswell. People wanted to restore cool quest items etc.
 
Yes, I tried this today. Kind of disappointed. I dumped a few items for bag space, but with transmogrifying, it would be nice to get some of them back. I did get a quick response though, so not all bad.
 
I tried this and got the same answer almost a week ago. Pretty pissed about it as now I can't complete a matching Transmorg set on my rogue.

Seems to me the most likely reason, especially because how much thought did most people in generally really give before in picking low-level Quest rewards?



BTW, for the Auction types: I'd stock up on Hibernal/Arachnidia Chests, many people consider that dress pattern one of the prettiest, yet 40-50 items end up dusted most of the time.



Also, if mogging will work the way I think it does, I'd pick up the Heavy Copper Shortsword pattern while it's still obtainable.
 
Heavy Copper Shortsword is alliance only and only really useful to fury warriors that have a sword in their OH.

Matter of personal taste, (quite) some people like back-sheathing swords, and the Heavy Copper Shortsword is one of the few that does - plus really classic in its looks



(personally I like gear that looks like actual usuable gear, Clothies can be as extravagant as it gets but Melee types with 'impossible' gear like spiky shoulderpads they'd smack their face into all the time in actual combat...not my taste)



The Quest being Alliance is hardly an issue for P2P (create Ally toon, get 40 Blacksmithing and ~70 bars of copper, do Quest, get Recipe, post on Neutral AH, get friend/second account to buy it) and only makes it more valuable for Horde Auctioneers ^^.

Stop dreaming they will obviously put level 60 requirement on theses. Or whatever level it was initially. And good news about quest swapping being "disabled"... too much baby sitting theses days...I don't see why people making the right choices when they choose a quest reward should be penalized over thoses who are kind of no so good at it.
