Balance Druids and hit cap

I've been looking over some Balance Druid's armories, and noticed that most make use of the talent Balance of Power to max out their spell hit. Quite a few of them though have little or no physical hit, which makes me wonder how important physical hit is to a Balance Druid seeing as how that affects both Bash and Pounce correct? And missing these, specifically bash, could be pretty bad. Anyone care to comment?

Bash and Pounce are used for CC. If your a balance druid, then all you would need is the 4% hit. Your primary spells are the ones you DONT want to miss with. Your more likely to be using Roots than Bash and Pounce, you might use Pounce as a starter move but you will most likely not NEED to ever use it. Bash is useful when a melee class is chasing you around, a quick bash would keep him CC'd in place for several seconds, just enough time to cast roots on them and get away from them. But you will primarily need to get hit capped for Casting only if your a balance druid. If you feel as though you are missing too much on your special melee attacks or if you use melee attacks quite often, then it wouldn't hurt to get the extra hit for melee, but in all honesty you won't need it. As long as you have the 4% hit for casting then you should be fine.

I use to use bash all the time, it was tremendously helpful when getting jumped by melee, as you said. I haven't played BGs since Cata so I don't know how hard everyone is hitting, but I assumed a missed bash would be pretty bad, especially now that druids don't have Nature's Grasp. Is damage just too high that you're gonna get one shot no matter what, making bash not as useful?

Bash is still useful, but balance druids also has Typhoon which they didn't have until The Shattering. So like I said in the above post, Bash is useful but you might not even need it. If a melee person jumps you, you could just rotate towards them and use Typhoon. It'll push them back and daze them, it also has a lower CD than bash and it's a spell so if you have 4% hit then it won't miss.

Even if you are physical hit capped, your bash may result in a dodge, especially against rogues and feral druids and prot classes.

I`d still fell a little uncomfortable having no hit still even for CC abilities, as survival is so poor for resto in this bracket I would say it was pretty vital.

I`m not going to go into theorycrafting a full set on chardev just for this point but I would still try get the physical hitcap if it did not hinder stats too much. Consistency is key.
