39 feral weapon

I've seen quite a variety in weapon choices for feral druids at 39. The most i've seen have been the shendralar trident and the BoA mace. The blue weapons at this level seem to be really lacking but is giving up mongoose really worth using the BoA mace? Also, would staff of jordan not be a good choice? It's dps is far above most choices or is losing the 30-40 ap too much of a loss?

Well i decided to just answer my own question and make a chardev to figure out the difference. The best weapon ends up being the trident if anyone else was interested.

K second question, gloves. I see almost everyone wearing gloves of holy might and I don't get it. Is 14 crit rating really >= 14 sta compared to the green quest gloves from feralas? Or is 10 agi 14 crit really better than 8 agi 8 sta 8 crit or do wolfclaw gloves just never show up?

just farm revelosh gloves of the monkey. so much better than holy might.

Its true, revelosh's are way better but holy might is second BiS. It'll take you a long time to find a perfect (8/9 or 9/8) so once you find a monkey, which is still hard to find, relax and farm when you can.

well wow, this might sound dumb but I didn't realize that revelosh gloves had that extra 10 stam on them. The wow armory is terrible about random enchants and every time i saw someone with them on it just said 8 sta 8 agi and I kept thinking wow those things are terrible. Somehow the armory leaves off the part of the glove that is always the same ><. Well thanks, those gloves are definitely much better.

Also what's a good amount of health for an unbuffed flag carrier? I saw a prot warrior that had over 4.4k on his armory but I'm guessing he's buffed because I can't even come close to his numbers. I got to around 3.9 unbuffed in bear. Are druids still good flag carriers now that twinks have mounts? I'm honestly quite jealous that other prot classes get 5% more health from their spec than i do from bear and get a shield to put 18 stam on : (

Right around 5k unbuffed is what Ooch's toon is sitting at.

do you mean 5k buffed? I seriously can't see how anyone could get to 5k unbuffed at 39. I just looked him up and hes sitting at 4899 and he only has around 40 more stam than the chardev that I made from both gear/enchant differences. My chardev was sitting at 3.9k. I don't see how that 40 stam difference = 1k health unless he's buffed or my chardev is not calculating things correctly.

He has a lot of crappy items though, some weird combinations of spirit, agility and intellect. I guess he only focuses on pure stamina. :)

Anyway... how can he have 100HP on his helm? I have never seen it before on a 39 twink.

There are 2 common ways for gearing as a FC.

1. Pure Stam(Ooch's way)

2. ToT Geared(Gearing in ways that reduce the Enemies time on you)

alright well that's what im talking about. You made that chardev and it only has 4k health. Also, if you copy ooch's armory to wowhead profiler he only has 4.2k health which is making me think that he is buffed when logged out and that's what his armory is showing. On wowhead profiler it says that he has 357 stam and armory says he has 449. That's a pretty big difference not being accounted for by gear.

My pally is sitting at 4509 and is no where near done. It is possible you just need the rev and random satchel gods on your side, something which often seems impossible.

You aren't speccing your chardev. As soon as you spec into prot you gain 15% stamina. Also, green lens of stamina is not an option on chardev so you will be missing that extra 25 stamina plus another 4 from the 15% stam bonus.

That all adds up to 4949 health. Ooch's armory has him at 5099, which is because the 150 health enchant to his chest is not actually affecting his health on the chardev. Switch to a +6 stats enchant and the health will go up if you want to check it for yourself.

The only other enchant I know of that doesn't actually contribute to the chardev is 4 stats to bracer as an FYI.

I actually did spec my chardev. Feral doesn't get a stam bonus for spec. You only get a stam bonus for being in bear form and its 10% for us and not 15% which i mentioned earlier i think. Also, enduring cap has 24 stam so that's pretty close to green lens and wouldn't make that big of a difference. I know that the chest enchant doesnt seem to show up on health but thats still only 150 health and not anywhere near the 1k difference. Also, wowhead profiler is showing a lower health as well and not just chardev.

I never made a chardev for ooch's gear. I copied his armory to wowhead profiler which copies both spec and professions as well so those were accounted for.

Alright enough with this wowhead vs. chardev nonsense. I assumed you used chardev because your druid profile was a chardev. Ooch's health is unbuffed. Wowhead is wrong.
