Holy Paladin BiS gear list?

Kushington

Legend
Wondering if someone would make me a quick gear list for what is BiS for a Holy Paladin.

Friend new to twinking plays a Lock main so decided to go Lock at 19, so I'll need something good to heal him with.

Here's a link of what I have worked out for myself so far, if I'm missing anything or need to change anything let me know. Has GTG and Eye as trinket for now, being realistic until I can get LFH and an AGM.

chardev 8 - Cataclysm Beta

Thanks for any help.

Stacking cloth gear = bad.

Will edit ur chardev for u in an hourish

Here is what you want aim for.

1.6k HP

1.6k Mana

2k Armor

If you can the above unbuffed while with Minor speed, Insignia Trink and vitality to shield your looking good to go. There is a nice guide in the guide section, check it out.

Yea think I'm pretty boned then all I have is the cloth BoAs will they do alright or will I be completely gimping myself by using them?

Cloth paladin = fail.

Cloth paladin isn't "fail". It's good, just not as good as you could be. If you don't mind being slightly gimped, then go for it. These guys are exaggeration how much of a difference mail vs cloth gear makes. There definitely is a difference, but it isn't so massive that cloth BoA's make holy paladin's unplayable.

Well in that case, I will farm gear for my Pally but in the mean time how are Priests at 19 for healing mainly? Are they on par with Pallys roughly or are they just too squishy?

i'd say that the huge buff to shields have brought priests almost on-par with paladins in terms of healing.. i can't quite figure out what class is better though, there still seems to be a more game-breaking vibe about paladins..

BiS non Grandfathered:

LFH

Thick Bronze Necklace

Pristine Lightforge Spaulders

Tumultuous Cloak of the Sorcerer, 70 armor or +5Resist your call.

Mystical Vest of Elements, 100 health and 4 stats are both fine, choose depending on your end health.

Fortified Bracers of the Eagle (3 stam, 3 int, 73 armor) are BiS, Crit isn't that amazing of a stat. 9 Stam to bracers is really the only proper choice, SP scales badly and 7 Int isnt worth it.

Defender's Gauntlets of the Eagle are still BiS non Grandfathered. Serpantis Gloves are a better option > Serpant Gloves if you can't get a hold of Defender's. 10 Haste to Gloves is best enchant unquestionably.

Earthbound Girdle of the Sorcerer.

Godfrey's Britches are fine, other options are Grunt's Legguards of the Eagle or Forestkeeper Leggings.

Spidersilk Boots, +minor speed is BiS.

Garroshs Pardon and Seal of Argus are BiS for new Horde Twink, get both.

Inheritted Insignia

AGM, make the effort to get one.

Devout Aurastone Hammer +22int Bis

Shield of Talendirs Point +7stam is the best option for non grandfathered.

Get 225 Herb and 225 Mining.

Spec:

3/3 Protector of the Innocent

3/3 Judgements of the Pure

The crit from Last Word isn't that good.

Why would he actively gimp himself?

hahahahaha, what?

Woodworking is better in every way.

Hmm, I think you maybe be thinking of Serpent Gloves - Item - World of Warcraft , I linked Serpentis' Gloves - Item - World of Warcraft

As far as I can tell, when it comes to Serpentis' Gloves - Item - World of Warcraft vs. http://www.wowhead.com/item=1945 , Serpentis' has 3 More Armor, 1 more point of stam, 4 more Spirit. Woodworking has 2 more int. . . but loses in every other stat.

Serpentis' Gloves and Serpent Gloves are two different items.

Eh, FoL heals so much.

Crits on FoL = more overheals.

Isn't effective.

More overheals, sure, but also more life-saving heals vs hunter focus dumps. I've outhealed some crazy shit thanks to FoL crits, i wouldn't discount them, but I wouldn't purposely build around crit either.
