But you just LoS'd the mage around a wall, right? What's stopping him from LoS'ing you the same way after he blinks outta there, to get the bandaid off?

Like I said, I never see ANYONE bandaid without being out of LoS. The mage expects everyone to use throwing knives ty to cookie cutter guide, he's not going to take the chance.

In any situation where you can be affected by LoS, it seems like you are affected by LoS. A lucky instant poison proc would be nice. But the thrown probably won't kill him, just break bandaid, and continue to draw out the fight even longer. Even if he dies, that mage has succeeded in tying you two up for far longer than you should have, and at this point your guild master is probably questioning what the fuck you're wasting so much time on in vent, and why you're not on offense.

All i've gotten out of your example is that thrown knives MAY be better in a super hypothetical situation vs the supreme cc utility of mages, and I play plenty of games against teams without a single mage. Let's start from the beginning.

Sorry, but when I used to be active in the 19s bracket, I would always see people bandaging right in the middle of nowhere just to get 1-2 tics. You don't always have the time to LoS and bandage.

I'm sure a few people still do it, but those type of people I just kill anyway. With so much ranged burst from hunters, I don't think anyone enjoys a lack of LoS, resulting in more players hugging every wall and corner they can find. Maybe if I saw more people doing the 1-2 tick bandaid in mid, I'd be more inclined to use the knives. The players i'm encountering are just running at ~100-200 health, which when unable to close the gap, makes the bow the best option IMO.

You're wrong.. end of story. actually use bow if you want, no ones stopping you.

not so much bandaids as it is to pushback casts on healers while rooted and to keep other rogues in combat.

You're really trying to justify a slight HP gain over the significantly increased utility of thrown? Even just in warsong I can't count the number of times stopping a bandage, keeping a rogue in combat, or pushing back heals/ccs has made a significant difference. That 30 HP is literally nothing, especially in the 19 burstfest. Every so often someone trys to make this argument because they find the stat increase tantalizing. It's not worth it if you're a decent player that can actually make use of the tools available. If you're a bad then it won't matter, but that's not how we decide what's BiS.

@ auggidin (or anyone who's actually trying to discuss instead of saying 'you're wrong')

Let me ask you a question. In a pug game, how many bandaids do you expect to break with your ranged weapon?

better question. How often do u expect 2 live because of that 1 extra stam?
