Hello to you all, hope you’re having a great day. As the title suggests this thread will talk about roleplay as F2P. Vets are welcome to read too but let’s be honest why would you roleplay as a 20 when you can do it at max level.

By the way this thread will not include a guide on how to RP, much more competent people than me already have made some which I can only highly suggest you to watch if RP ever does interest you.

Okay so there’s been a lot of threads about the way our community works recently. PVP was the main thing for twinks in general, for F2Ps PVE always was a big part but now it is the new main goal of 20’s. That said, RP isn’t really a thing.

As Chops said in a video some time ago, twinks are a minority amongst WoW players and pure F2P are a minority inside said minority thus making us a small bunch of weirdos.

Roleplayers also represent a relatively small amount of the playerbase. Combining those two minor gamestyles should lead to a extremely small pool of persons interested.

I don’t know if you ever tried to RP as a pure F2P but that is a huge pain in the ass thanks to all the restrictions inherent to the trial accounts limits. Nobody hears you, you can’t access newer zones and are NPC fodder in higher level zones some of which are quite roleplay friendly and thus limit even further the potential amount of interactions you can have. On top of this, people usually don’t want to bother with trial accounts since we’re so limited in terms of interaction (which is entierly understandable).

A ‘‘twentified’’ RP community would only extend the already huge amount of possibilities we have to play this game as F2P. I know roleplayers do not have that great of an image mostly because of Goldshire creeps but such a thing is only a minority.

I’m not expecting to create a huge coommunity where everyone needs to deeply engage in the RP scene but more of a ‘‘once in while’’ kind of thing where we could do something else alongside our usual occupations on WoW (PVP/questing/damned WOD farming/achievement hunting/…).

So with all that said my point is : Would an F2P/RP gamestyle be interesting for anyone ? I'd love to hear your opinion even though I doubt many of you will be interested. Thanks for reading it all have a nice day.

P.S : This is my first thread sorry if I made anything wrong or forgot something.

As a pure f2p account for almost a decade now, no. I do not engage in roleplay. I lack the imagination to create an OC/storyline surrounding my sad excuse of an Orc twink.
But, if i were to indulge myself in roleplaying with some folk, those said folk will be obligated to carry my chapped ass in WoD dungeon runs till i get epic gear for my lock. And get Ravendare's sword for my soon to be DK toon. A small price to pay for roleplaying.

"...a huge pain in the ass thanks to all the restrictions inherent to the trial accounts limits. Nobody hears you...".
This is why i feel lonely in game tbh

Sure.

I've RP'd off and on in WoW the entire time I've played it, but not really partaken in much since MoP era.

Okay I think the best way is, if you're interested, just contact me it'll be easier.

CroyeTchor#2928 I play on Argent Dawn EU so if you're US sorry you'll have to organize something on your own.

And btw @Magrain if you're EU I'd love to run some dungeons with you some day regardless if you RP or not. It would be a gain of time if nothing else.

Although, since my dk is just new. I can remake another dk in EU and run some WoD dungeons (and Stratholm for Ravendare's sword if you wouldn't mind).

Well I do have a DK needing that sword too on Horde and a Dwarf Paladin for Alliance so in both cases I don't mind Stratholm and for WoD dungeons I have an army of twink in ilvl 61 only waiting for those sweet, sweet ilvl 87.
That being said don't you think having another account solely for a DK might be annoying for you?

Not really, i barely do anything. +I've been using a warlock for a decade now. Need something different to use. Na for that warlock, eu for the DK
