Things to do at 20 that aren’t battlegrounds

Or, get this, some people like to put time into a toon and community and just roll with whatever punches blizz throws our way without getting too attached to any particular version or expression of how a game plays.

People wanna pve in a game whos content is like 90% pve. Shocker.
 
I tend to spend more time just queing up my favorite dungeons then pvping, I love me some stratholme :p

Why would you admit to rolling 24s and 29s in the past and then try to make a claim like that to real 20s?

Have you ever cared about this bracket?
 
This was the 29 bracket long before it was 20s. And anyone who played before cata knows this I started twinking in vanilla and this is the way its always been. I had 20s I played back then but I also played other levels. 20s is fun don't get me wrong but if I have the opertunity to play a toon I made 10 years ago. I'm gonna have fun with it. Im sure it's going to change again so I'm not to worried about it.

It was 20-29 then 20-24 so its actually been available to 20-24 longer than its been to 25-29 since those levels were removed for a few years.

Among many other things one can do outside areas barely half the size of a regular zone (such areas otherwise known as battlegrounds), one can also explore or learn more open-world parkours (especially for the very, very few out there not yet familiar with parkours F2Ps can do).


Very old an common examples include parkours like standing on the roof of goldshire inn or blacksmith (or any inn with the same structure model), standing over almost any of the blue roofs at stormwind (among other roofs at other districts in stormwind), reaching ‘pleasure palace’ peak at Azshara by ‘climbing’ up to there, among more parkours out there.

Really, who needs a flying mount?

Besides PVP boxes, what are you looking for?

Win or lose (for now) you still gain Honor Levels and every 5 levels or so a PVP related perk is unlocked. I hit Honor Level 15 last night and this unlocked https://www.wowhead.com/item=140228/prestigious-bronze-courser

If you are looking for Marks of Honor for gems - you can do Jewelcrafting with F2P 20 and get some of the same gems with as much as a grind as dying in non-Epic battlegrounds to pure level 29s.

One thing that takes long on some realms (wish Activision fixes this somehow), queue for a Epic Battleground as not many pure 29s 5-man/10-man teams seem to do as well in everyone @ 40-60 bgs with things like graveyard farming or one-shooting everything is not as easy - yeah its a pain in the butt as Epic BGs que at least on the realms I have tried are 3h hours plus for not much more honor level points as the shorten BGs.

As a Shaman, if you haven't done your Enhancement Artifact quest yet, there is things to do while in Deepholm as well as hearthstone locked there <as long as you are on the questline you have a flying mount provided - granted slow > - fishing for Limnologist achievement, gathering almost all of your Cataclysm ores/bars for leveling Cataclysm engineering to socket your Ghost Iron Dragonling and possible Engineering googles, access to the Elder there during the Lunar Festival and if one has the SELFIE camera, getting one of the Field Photographer location there as a F2P normally can not get to.
