Xpoff can que bgs now. What 29 twink you making?

They stand a chance against 29's with low ilvl and mathematically inferior raid gear. Against socketed ilvl 37 boes, not so much.

Don't get me wrong - you seem like a nice guy. And I don't know any of the people rolling 29s personally. I'm sure you're all great people - I don't mean to make judgment calls about those people's lives outside of the game or anything. Take my words with that grain of salt.

What I do know is that 20s have a good community - and the part of that community I helped to build was the skirmish and arena community. Particularly with skirmishes, we had a functioning ladder with a high amount of participation by the end of the first season. And now this hits. There's little doubt in any of our minds that we won't be able to queue skirmishes "competitively" anymore. As a group, we don't tend to want to level to 29 and queue there - I can't speak for everyone, but at least the people in leadership who I've spoken with.

Now the individuals rolling 29s didn't cause this. Even if no one went to 29s, the queues would still be much slower since it would just be twink v. twink. Honestly, that would be preferred for many of us like myself. I don't enjoy getting +1 rating at a time facing levelers in skirmishes. Maybe someone is out there getting an ego boost from that - but I haven't met him/her yet. It maybe could have been salvaged despite the longer queues times.

But the final nail in the coffin are the teams queueing at 29 now. Unlike in a BG where you can have somewhat of an impact as a level 20, you're massively disadvantaged in skirmishes. All that matters is that first kill - and the number of tools you have at your disposal at the start of the arena match is a huge deciding factor there. 20s aren't able to match 29s in skirmishes - at least, not without a massive skill discrepancy. Even then, the wins would feel cheap - beating a newbie 29 isn't exactly a compelling motivation to keep playing.

So this is sort of the end of a chapter in twinking for me and many others. That's where the anger comes from.

We had something really cool. Hopefully these changes are reverted and this community built with hours of dedication from many outstanding people can continue. I don't know. What I do know is you'll never catch me on a 29. Good luck, y'all.

Thanks, that's actually reassuring to hear.

All four of these levels can compete with each other rather well and I assume even more so in Dragonflight due to the new Talent system giving us all so many important abilities that we can pick-and-choose as we please.

The only benefits that being a higher level will give you is that you might have a few baseline abilities that lower levels do not have as well as having a few more talent points to spend.

Level 20 - Free to Play / Vet - The perks of playing at this level are simple; You can play the game for free.

Level 25 - ex-60, Classic Level Cap - Mostly for people who have an old level 25 character with gf'd gear. There's no need to level up that character. In fact, keeping it at that level might be interesting for a "Classic plus" experience, and it makes any rare/unobtainable item that you may have worth just so much more because it's not on a "dead character level" (which is the main reason for playing a lower level).

Level 27 - ex-70, TBC Level Cap - Same as above, but for people who have old 27s.

Level 29 - Bracket level Cap - You'll have the biggest advantage over others at this level; The most abilities, The most talent points and possibly access to some items lower levels cannot get due to zone and dungeon minimum level requirements.

I'd still like to reiterate that a level 20 IS able to compete with 29s. Yes, you are weaker. Yes, the 29s have a big advantage, but no it's not an "instant-loss" situation.

The combined queue has only been out for like 3 days? We haven't seen fully-geared 29s out in full force yet, and if it stays like this, it will be even worse in DF because they'll have access to even more talents. I am looking forward to writing the first "Death of the F2P Bracket" forum post if this change stays in DF

Nah, theyre all terrible people.

I wish I could only queue against you with my 29. You have so much pent up anger and hate towards people on a pointless video game. It’s literally meaningless. You keep calling people poor for not making multiple accounts when it’s literally the ones paying for the game that can make a 29? Grow up and decide if you want to play the game or not. Take your own advice and ask mommy if you can do the dishes for an extra $15 to make a 29. I’ve genuinely never seen someone so butt hurt over what level someone caps their xp at in a video game. Take a step back and think about it on a deeper level. “He paid 10g to turn his xp off at this level instead of this level!” Oh my god!!!

This! why should i make multiple accounts when i can just play 29s? sure you can play 20s for free but i'm subbed so here is no point by creating 20s on a different account. the only reason for this is to keep playing 20s without leveling out the bracket but now it doesn't matter anyways.

sorry but all I am seeing here is a fisherman carefully throwing out the bait for the 20s that will actually believe they ll stand a chance vs 29s.

I'm lvl 25 and I can tank people 1v5 for like 30 seconds. 5+ minutes if I have a healer. I don't get one-shot and my health pool is almost the same as a lv20's.

A lv29 isn't going to do anything to me solo.

No but seeing as how I can beat max raid geared lv30s and people all the way up to lv45 in duels, and seeing as how I, like I said, can tank entire groups of people without getting one-tapped for over two minutes - I don't see how ilvl37 gear is suddenly going to change things.

And sure DF will bring more talents but lv20s will also be able to more specialize their characters defensively or offensively and a lv29 having say, Rampage, which they already do now at 20-29 anyway, isn't going to suddenly make them more OP.

You wont find me playing this bracket for awhile, except to flash my awesome mogs in org.

Its not anger its dissappointment.

Yes, because the paying for the game bullshit is a weak ass argument, that I've heard from retards like you for years.
I can make as many 29s as I want, and by accident I have one from the squish, not that I'm going to play it. But here you go, match that dumbass. So yes I can tell you that you're poor and that all the reasons you name are bullshit because it's true. You're just another retard passing by and nothing you say is of any consequence.
You have no idea about anything and you come in here preaching to people who know more than you. I'm not here to yell at you simply out of spite, I'm here to yell at you to bring the point home of just how baseless and wrong every assumption you've ever made is.

Your anger is so misguided. Paying subs getting access is not the players fault

W8 until we get 29 destro locks. I'm gearing one (mostly not to play but to compare with my 20 and mayb use it if everything will be very bad at enemy side) and i can tell you that it is fucking horrendous.

Considering I get spell reflect in DF i'm actually looking forward to you one-shotting yourselves.

"Twink the biggest one-shot capable class" is such a noob mentality ngl.

It's honestly not that big of a deal... even a shitty premade can deal with some 29s... however once the hunters show up it will wrap up the bracket quick... you will have survival hunters with 50 kills and 300k dps just gliding though 20 twinks like its nothing.

Sheesh calm down, im playing lock at 20 since 2012. It wasnt so strong all the time, but blame me for sure.

Gotta love lvl 29 mages arc missiles non crits hitting for 400+ RIP in peace lvl 20s without 4k+ base hp

:D Time to rev up a subforum for "beating up levelers in the normal que in heirlooms and then rerolling at 29".

Paying subs have always had access to BGs and even XP-Off BGs. That nobody made an effort to keep the upper 20s alive (despite really just loving their GF'd toons SO much) should tell you everything you need to know about the bracket.
you really have a chip on your shoulder about this don't you?

I'm calm bro, I was just saying that the fotm rolling mentality is kinda cringe. 80% of the time you just end up with scuffed fotms that only do what they were made for 20% of the time.

And you were saying it right to me, who is playing lock, meaning that im fotm reroller? If i got your message right.
I posted this info about lock only cuz you were pretending that you can live long enough. Its not gonna happen soon if we will have lots of 29 like destro, thats all what I meant.
P.S: proof that im not fotm reroller and rocking since 3000 B.C :PeepoGlad: - https://imgur.com/a/Ry5foDd
