Ques Merged... kinda

Its possible that this is a botched attempt to merge all ques together. It's possible its an odd bug.

But far more likely, I think Blizz looked at numbers, saw that people either play through the starter experience and sub almost immediately or play through the starter experience and just never sub. So they decided that the handful of people who play a starter account for like 6 months before subbing could have some bad pvp in the name of removing twinks from leveler BGs altogether.

They created such a great ftp enviroment in sl that they might aswell just create the unsubbed que as a completely different thing, there's easily enough people for consistent ques and would be even more with that change

I was planning on re subbing to stock up on cheap TBC/Wrath gems while they are like 1g.

Might as well dust off my 29 Rogue for some testing. I never managed to get a single Warglaive, but she is in full BT/SW gear.

I am super rusty on that character, but since I have yet to take this character into a BG since the squish, it could be fun even if this is only a temp bug. Though, being on Crushridge I will still probably have super long queues.

Sure but this would require that they care about us and they dont. "create a whole new sub class of account to get their own little special que" or "fuck it, label them xpoff and lets get to the next ticket"?

I struggle to see how a post about them merging classic xpon/xpoff has anything to do at all with why they’ve done this to f2ps only on retail? In that post they literally talk about making the gameplay experience better for twinks specifically so why turn around and make our experience worse?

When I started WoW as F2p, I didn't knew much about the Game or the Forum here, and I was expecting to face superior higher lvl players in Pvp anyways ( I thought open world pvp was a thing lol).

One of my goals was, since I started playing, to be as much as a thorn in the eye of higherlvl players as possible, even if only a scratch.

Now it's just another Handicap to live with, to keep up with.

I can see merging classic queues as an effort to try to sell level boosts. Or as an effort to lower tue amount of retailers crying about twinks. Or as an effort to at least persuade non-paying twinks to subscribe to level the playing field by playing 29s.
Considering all, it’ll help Blizz to contain those that are not paying and create additional pressure to make them subscribe.

Just had the realization that the xpoff 30's made for Herald of the Titans can now queue into the bracket with premades.

I wish the 20 F2P and Vets all the best

?... bracket is 20-29, and they are 30's ...?
If you talking about 30 bracket - they were able to q it before i guess? Nothing changed for them - they still are xpoff with their own stopexp q

Why are so many people coming to the conclusion that this means 30s are gonna be queing into 20-29s?

Guys. Seriously. Nothing really fancy happened. Vet and F2P toons are now just treated as XP-OFF. Thats it. 29s didnt get put into our que, we got put into theirs.

I hope 29s don't stomp Vets/F2P too badly. I like being able to drop in and play some games without having to maintain a subscription. Maybe endgame DF will be enough fun to stay subbed to, but BFA and SL sure weren't (IMO). Otherwise I doubt I'd pay monthly just to play 29s

Can't speak for the other people - the way I see it, the current 'active' twink bracket just shifted from XP-ON to XP-OFF. Not a huge change, but it does allow the other XP-OFF chars to join in if they really want to. Herald runs were pretty popular for a while, so I can see there being a bit of an overlap between 20's and 30's. Also saves the effort of gearing a new 29 for those who have people to queue with and want the advantage.

you are aware that the bracket ends at 29, right?

Yes, that's why previous posts have included phrases such as 'with premades' and 'those who have people to queue with'

Maybe I'm just too fearful of those who will use any advantage they can get
