I have speculated that as well, since "Cataclysm-Cataclysm" is the only expansion you can't level 1-50 right now.

But Chop's point is very probable. Enabling "Cataclysm-Cataclysm" zones for pre-flight leveling would require them to provide a slow, temporary Flying Mount (which was already done in the past, in the Enhance Artifact Weapon questline).

I figure they should just cut apprentice riding and have journeyman at lvl 10. Then have expert riding (flying) at 20. Might as well considering how quickly players are thrown into previously endgame lvl zones.

If I am being honest with myself, having all the items with broken scaling in the Shadowlands prepatch and the few months that followed were some of the most hedonistic fun I have ever had playing my twinks.

I don't enjoy BGs all that much these days, but I do acknowledge that these items cause problems with PVP balance.

Personally, I have zero shame about getting every single broken item I can get my grubby little hands on, but I stear pretty clear of competitive PVP environments. While I doubt it will be anywhere near the amount of items we saw during the last prepatch, I am hoping for a few new toys, even if they end up being temporary.

I am quite curious about how much of the Maw we will be able to explore as part of the Shadowlands intro quests.

Imo there should be ilvl scaling in low lvl pvp, like anything over ilvl 30 would scale down for 20s in instanced pvp. But outside of instanced, let players enjoy high ilvl broken gear for pve.

Ian said in interview with mrGm that this is not going to happen pretty much, as they want ftp players to explore the zones by foot to see their scale. That being said there may be hope in the future for vets but no plans so far

The odd thing is that Blizzard has a few F2P bugs in Cataclysm zones that either they will keep skipping or just apply the same level requirements on a expansion zone.

One example, Deepholm while on the Shaman Enhancement Artifact quest, the F2P Shaman gets to slow fly around and can mine the Obsidian, Elementium and Rich Elementium Deposits but the Rich Obsidian Deposit there requires level 35 to mine. And some of the Cataclysm herbs also require at least level 30 to farm (not that a F2P gets much out of Cataclysm Alchemy).

If this higher level requirement was applied to all the Cataclysm expansion areas, the F2P would be locked out of the Cataclysm Engineering Cogwheels and basically nerf the Ghost Iron Dragonling along with the cogwheel googles.

The big question, besides achievements or pets or mounts whom besides a F2P would even explore Cataclysm zones (excluding Uldum for the Uldum Accord questing) if they can pick one of the other more involved expansions areas to level in?

So about guardian druids getting boomkin form...
Here's my goofy max dmg guardian currently
upload_2022-7-20_4-22-28.png

So 347 attack power converts into 334 spell power (rounding up).

This is the tooltip of starsurge (available to all druids in DF)
upload_2022-7-20_4-24-12.png

So 823 x 1.1 (10% more spell dmg in boomy) x 1.02 (2% dmg from 1/3 nurturing instinct) = 923

Starsurge crit is 923 x 2.03 (3% crit gem) = 1874.

Not too shabby. Need me some beta to confirm though.

Enhancement Shaman USE to be more tank-like in pre-WotLK. But today the F2P Shaman definitely they need Astral Shift or Earth Shield similar as Enhancement, or have a boost to self-heal or more interaction via Lightning Shield depletion.

Is there a place to see what non-talent abilities level 20s will have unlocked yet?
The only thing I could find was this, which isn't super official and might change, but the this is what has been data mined from the alpha so far.
Up to lvl 20 for hunters is identical, so far, except for what we know about Bestial Wrath which is now lower in the talent tree.

Edit:
https://www.wowhead.com/beta/spell=136/mend-pet now heals 50% pet health so it'll make some PVE easier :-D

Do you like your crow served with or without sauce?

You are just gonna be disappointed, dude (badly):p (and it does not matter how many other misinformed people "emoji agree with you").

Spellhance was about triple dipping into stats with talents like Mental Dexterity and Mental Quickness. And gear also had int/ap/agility... that allowed that to be abused. I don't want to deep dive on it, just go watch a vid... 1000s of them up with wrath classic explaining it for you... pick one.

This is just gonna be some proced based malestrom trash. It will only be good or bad based if blizzard just gives enhance the base stats to replicate the amount of damage you got from the above (and since that is just gonna be determined by Blizztard we just have to wait and see - you might just not get enough and it will hit like a wet noodle (where you'll let this die)... they might give you too much and you will hit like a nuclear bomb (and you'll tell me how right you were).

Please don't use the term spell-hance... use "praying for stacks - hance" or some other goofy shit. All you are doing is getting a bunch of kids all ramped up on QV Yellow Lighting instead of real Mountain Dew.

I'll pass on beating the dead explanation horse any more. I hope it will be great, lord knows I've put in the hours on Slackjackson and would love some tier 1 power.

Still waiting for people to realize that enhancement isn't a viable bg spec due to class design and will likely never be on par with other melees so we can finally be free of this spellhance, memehance, healhance, crowhance, whateverhance everyday bs:Sadge:

But those are what makes enhance a cool spec :PepeHands:

It's a cool one, no doubt about it (I used to main enhance back in the day) but people on here should stop beating that dead horse and accept that blizzard won't "buff lvl 20 enh" and no amount of complaining will make it on par with hunters in this bracket. It's getting repetitive already
