Any chance I qualify for the Dedicated Guide Author badge now? I've been updating the two major 1s guides I made with extreme frequency and they're comprehensive to the point of being essentially multiple guides each. I would reckon to say the level 1 guide with all collapsed categories open is the longest single guide on the site, and there's no shortage posts in the 1-9 forum that are responded to with basically "It's in the guide"

I've also guided a lot of the new things to come to the table such as GF spec discrepancy, trial of style queueability using a macro, holiday buffs that change, and 9.0.5.'s massive gear stat changes and how it impacted farming and people's worn socket gear/BiS. This is just stuff as far as Shadowlands goes, but short-form guides from me also go back way further.

Give the man his badge @Selaya hes more than earned it :)

Still waiting for that Iron man badge to appear.

Iron man badge Silver - Atleast 200+ wins in the arena season and with 0 loses.

Iron man badge Gold - At least 300+ wins in the arena season and with 0 loses.

200/300 is just a comfortable number. It can be 200, 250 or even higher than 300. It's something to give the people for their efforts and or something to strive for. Probably never happen but just a thought.

Probably just worth removing the arena badge since there isnt even a ladder anymore.

Thanks for the reminder :Troll:

No problem but maybe for the people in the pasted that have achieved said goals. Like I said, it's a pipe dream. I know it'll never happen.

If I get my way, we'll be updating the forum software and iirc that was the sticking point for Hash to get an automated arena ladder up and running. Once we get that sorted, I think some arena related badges (like 100, 200, 300 win streaks and what have you) might be worth looking into, absolutely :)

Congrats @Jonnes, this is well-deserved!

Actually and I know this might come as a shocker as a active player and one that actually qs arenas. The code still works. You have to macro it but it still works.

Miles earned the badge. Thanks

Btw no one disputed his current badge. The whole discussion was revolving around a badge as a reward for x consecutive wins without a loss, which was a suggestion and something that is currently implemented.

Like I said earlier, I'd love to see more specific arena badges (among others) but I think a pre-requisite for that is getting a more formalized arena ladder up. Which requires a forum update. Which I'd very much like to do but this is an all volunteer staff so those kinds of things will take time.

Whether those badges revolve around rating or win streak is up for debate (or hey we could do both!) but its a pretty pointless debate for right now.

I swear I could change between all the colors available to me thru ranks etc but now im stuck with this white shit

I'm excited about the new forum software update and to see where this takes us. In the meantime, I'd like to drop a suggestion here for a new badge.

It feels like this website has gone stale a bit over the past year. We've lost our functional arena ladder, we haven't elected MVPs in a few years, what are blog sections at this point??, and we haven't heard about TC in forever.

Twinking has always been predominantly PvP oriented. However, with the last few changes at the end of SL (merging of the 20 f2p bracket into 20-29 xp off, long or absent queues in literally all brackets now), we've been seeing a slow shift towards a bigger PvE scene.

Similarly to the HK badge (100k/250k character specific), I'd like to suggest an Achievement Point badge for the PvE / achievement hunter twinks out there. This would require an arbitrary amount of Character specific Achievement points (verifiable through the guild panel or enabling character specific achievements displayed on armory). I'm sure one of our many graphic designers would love to have a go at designing a badge as well for it.

Do what you want with this info, I know there was a lot of talk about having too many badges, but I don't know what this new software will allow us to do (maybe redesign the whole badge system?). I'd just love to see the PvE equivalent of personalizing our XpOff account via in-game achievements.

Thanks! :PepeComfy:

As one of those achievement hunting twinks this sounds like a fun idea, the problem is that the achievement points needed to be worthy of a badge will depend a lot on the bracket, for a level 1 twink 5k is a lot, for a level 20 twink 10k is a lot, while those numbers mean nothing on a level 60 twink,

So maybe instead of having a specific number badge like 10k achievement badge / 20k achievement badge as counterpart to the pvp 100k / 250k hks we just do a “Achievement Hunter” badge and go case by case. Then you can have the gold / gray color variant too.
