FARM Sethekk Halls: Science, a Level 16 Monk & Me!

For those of you that have followed the farm I'm back with another huge update! As the original Compendium Post is somewhat messy and difficult to find on Forum searches I've decided to make a dedicated post regarding the latest farm I've been doing over the last 6 months (on and off). The small matter of my wedding and job interviews got in the way of farming, but a message from an NA player thrust me back into Sethekk Halls...

Special credit to 'Creepyjoe' (Discord name!) who messaged (and motivated me to return farming again). We shared information about the dungeon, farming etc... Not quite the typical farmer :haHAA: he decided he wanted to clear the dungeon on a level 16 Monk... solo :monkaGIGA:. At this point I wasn't quite sure what or who I was dealing with. His motivation for farming was to prove that 16 farming would yield the same results as 17/18 (who am I to judge?!). But soon the epics started trickling in:-

As of today Joe has cleared about 850 runs in Sethekk Halls. (He skips the 1st boss and deliberately dies at the 2nd). Pro tip: Spinning Crane Kick & Lifesteal enchant. It takes Joe 5-6 minutes per clear. (I tried it out with a heirloom/legion geared MW Monk and managed 8 minutes so he's doing something right!).

After a few days he hit the jackpot:

Overjoyed that Joe had beaten me to the farm :FrogeTorch: we discussed farming methods and I agreed to continue so that we could compare two distinct methods and see if Legacy loot was having any impact on loot... Good news - it would appear the answer is no (although his RNG is seemingly much better than mine!).

My method: 1x 46 Druid 4x 18 Looters (all in BfA timeline - no Chromie timeline set)
Creepyjoe's method: :haHAA: 1x Level 16 Monk (BfA timeline - no Chromie timeline set)

Our farming statistics are as follows:-

Dan:

1912 TBC dungeon clears - 1684 Sethekk clears - 1341 with level 18 Looters
3 Armor pieces - 10 Patterns - 1 Weapon!

Joe:

850~ Sethekk clears - 850 with level 16 looter
1 Armor - 7 Patterns - 1 weapon!

After 100 additional runs I finally hit my own jackpot:

These are likely (currently!) the only versions of these two weapons in existence at this level. We know that The Night Blade & Blade of Wizardry was looted early on in Shadowlands direct from looting but its nice to finally have confirmation that Sethekk appears to work for looters level 16-18...

Below is a list of all the weapons we suspect are on the loot table (all these weapons were level 70 during and up to Shadowlands squish):

Happy hunting!

Would a twinked Guardian Druid possibly work for this? It has good aoe (not as fast SCK for monks) and with the movement speed increase inside the dungeon from cat form could the runs be done faster? Almost want to put off gearing another toon for a project like this, having confirmed drops is amazing news and might be worth doing before something major happens like an ability overhaul when 10.0 hits with the talent trees.

i’d love to see joe’s char if possible, i’m sure i’m the problem, but when i tried to solo tbc dungs with a monk, the trash shut me down fast… :/

i’m f2p, i don’t even care about the loot, soloing would be the whole point, but apparently i’m bad with monks. :D i will definitely try the lifestealing enchant, and maybe those tbc swords that also lifesteal (if they work at this lvl).

The recipe for Lifestealing is grandfathered, unfortunately. The swords you are thinking about have a terrible proc chance, otherwise every dual wield class would be using them imo. If you are f2p and want to solo content I’d suggest a hunter, lock or prot pally post-Talasite nerf.

Everyone was using them so they got nerfed.

rip :D i’m having fun with protpal, druid and rsham, just wanted to try something else. i really like playing healers, but i might try hunter or lock as well.
