Healers Rundown

I haven’t made/played as a twink since mop/wod & haven’t played in general since late bfa-ish, I’d like to get back into it & play heals, but are there any advantages/disadvantages to specific classes? And do the playstyles feel as different as they do at capped? Currently going back & forth between resto shaman & resto Druid but tips on all healer specs are appreciated:)

Here are my rankings in order of best performers:
Priest - Top healing and damage as a healer. sw: death is essentially an execute, really good for finishing off low health enemies. I've seen versa stack and they are hard to kill. Lowest playstyle limitation compared to rest.
Resto druid - I never played it, but from what I see, they dish out good dps and heals, they carry games because they are amazing at objectives, i.e. capping bases + running flag
Resto shaman - x2 quick cast to help top off team mates thanks to incredible mastery, able to counter spell and provide slow. Can push damage from afar
I play both hpally/mistweaver and I feel, they are best played defensively
HPally - Plays like a resto shaman, no ghost wolf but great survivability from bubble/lay on hands, hammer of justice is the only cc. Lowest damage amongst healer class, should focus on healing. Cleanse is great, but under utilized in this bracket.
Mistweaver - Gets punished the most from bad positioning, as they are the squishest, but can definitely top healing charts. Has AOE melee stun. Damage can be catch people offguard, but it has to be melee range. Generally should stay away from fights as they lack defensives compared to other healers.

Hmmm...guess it depends on who's behind the keyboard I guess.

Is that screenshot from this century even @Miles XD

we all know that clankz is horde and bread name changed long ago
Haha, yeah fairly old. I had to dig it out of Tences Hpal guide.

MW is the healer for healers who really want to be playing melee DPS, and are only playing healer because they're sick and tired of queuing into games with no heals on their actual melee DPS.

MW is weird bc it can dps, but if you do you kinda have to full send it. Other healers can maintain high dmg or help burst people down w spells but bc MW dmg is melee you gotta get up innit to drop your stuff.

hpal is the only healer that is immune to snares.

Have you considered Enhancement shaman as a healer?

Never played anything other than resto shaman, I’d def try it out though what’s it like?

It is a meme build that plays hybrid heals/dmg. I enjoy it, it's flexible and fun, but it is not what you're looking for if you want a true healer. There is a thread about it on these forums if u want to read more about it use the search option for enhealment shaman.

Just to be clear, I do not suggest the build if you want to be the best healer.
I DO suggest the build if you're rad as hell.

MW is raw power heals. Easily the strongest heals in the bracket and with so many options for mana regen why go any other way.

Only downside, no dispell. But people can get over it, sit in the sheep.

i think people need to realize that, for a 2700 rated player, it may be that the performance of playing class A > playing class B

but for an average player, it could be that the performance of playing class A < playing class B

50% of players are by default below average, and only few players can play all 5 healing classes to their maximum potential.

i haven't played other healing classes but holy paladin is extremely easy to play.
