Shadowlands F2P Baseline Guide

Excellent guide, didn't have the luxury on my first f2p... but followed closely the second go around.

You could add an asterisk - during phase 3 with Vanilla Herbalism farm. I picked up about 120 extra https://www.wowhead.com/item=4625/firebloom . The Firebloom I saved for the last step (before going back to Vanilla Alchemy 1). I spent roughly 2000g in vendor purchases or about 267 https://www.wowhead.com/item=2460/elixir-of-tongues worth, buying greens from the class vendor next to your trainer in SW/Org and about 275 pairs of Epic pants from the WSG vendor (need to turn on All Classes to see). This boosted me to Vanilla Enchanting 275 to craft https://www.wowhead.com/item=20750/wizard-oil If you ever do this, only do enchants that use Greater Eternal/Large Brilliants because the wizard oil uses 3 Rich Illusions. I know https://www.wowhead.com/item=20749/brilliant-wizard-oil is the best for 20's but it's grandfathered OR requires mailing a quest reward.

The armor kits/spellthreads were designed to be relevant in MoP, and they're just stuck with level limits appropriate to the expansion they came from. I disagree and think it'd be nice if they were more accessible, but given that it's not applicable to max level and that the majority of the people it is applicable to don't pay, I don't see changing that being a high priority on Blizzard's part.

There are embossments from panda leatherworking (draconic/heavy/primal) that can be used to enchant your own pants, and that persist even if you change professions. Most players will have done this after having picked up whatever pants they see themselves liking. Note that while this doesn't require you to be heavily invested in panda leatherworking to do, it has to be done while you have the LW profession and consequently will require you to drop another profession if you want to enchant another pair of pants.

Intellect users can get something similar out of tailoring, although again the versions that can be stockpiled or traded are too high level for you and in this case the self-applied ones stop working if you drop tailoring as a profession.
