On farming dungeons with a high level escort

Surely we've all done it. NO, it's not as much fun as running with our fellow twinks, but many of us have inactive accounts incapable of trading, & have to suffer the jealous groans of our frens as we secure their coveted drops over & over again in their face.

I've not seen a topic on this & wanted to share this strategic tid-bit;
If you can manage to get your high level escort far enough away from a boss, then, provided your twink can solo the boss; they will get both the gear drops.
There are obvious cases where some classes are incapable of this, though they are few.

As this is legacy-mode, there is still no guarantee that you'll get your desired drop, but doubling the chance only helps; & it's well more fun that way. Hope this comes in handy for you when next you choose to power-gear.

You can just log the high level out as well, then log back in after and continue.

Is it possible to do with characters on the same account?
I got my high level on the same account as all my twinks..

Unfortunately no, you cannot open two tabs both with WoW1.
It has to be WoW1 and WoW2.

Of course it's possible. Get someone to invite both of your characters and enter the instance on each. Clear up to the boss you need on the high lvl and log out. Log the 20 and run up to the boss you left alive and solo it.
