Question about meta gems

personally playing enhancement in 39s its all about the eraser wf crits and dancing around until you get them. I am not sure on 69s but the idea sounds fun.

Personally I would go Powerful Earthstorm Diamond. Getting stunned is about the only thing that shuts you down - your kit is plenty brutal on it's own. But I'm fairly convinced that's the only meta anyone should run in PvP.

I haven't done a shaman build but I did make this hunter which has 10k hp. I don't think 6k is remotely enough for this bracket. I don't exactly stack hp either, just 12 stam gems in every blue slot.

With the slow speed that comes from having a 2hander, you might be right of going Stam Meta gem. Half the time you'll be kited and have to depend on magical damage. Personally, I'd only consider an offensive Meta gems if the shaman is a Troll and even then, meh. But if you're taking PvP seriously you'll be a Tauren for Warstomp.

Ok looks like I did have an old shammy build. I updated it though and it clocks in at 9k hp. It's packing 24% crit and yeah, it's got 400 less AP but I just don't think that's worth the 3k+ health and 1k mana. Also consider my elemental choices, eye of the storm is excellent, fully worth a point and there's a bit more utility packed in as well.

I just don't think shaman should be geared like a one hit wonder wrecking ball. They don't have the movement options needed to close the gap consistently and they thrive when played with more long term utility in mind. Mana is hugely important and criting into flurry is really the best way to increase damage. That means to some extent all you need to crush enemies is crit / health and then mana stats actually.

Took a look at the build and yes also agree with what you said.
