Worth twinking in Fresh Vanilla Classic?

The average classic player is looking forward to a fresh start of vanilla classic:

I would still say TBC is the prime of twinking, but the twinking scenes have been kind of dead in TBC when there are way less levelers around and I suppose a fresh classic start will divide the classic community even more.

So the question is; are you willing farm AGM and fishing every Sunday again if it the game turns out to be popular in a long-term? Not to mention the amount of gold/real life money spent into these projects...
 
Probably not , the hype is gonna be way smaller this time. Gonna be a blast temporarily when everyone is starting, but after a month or two doubt there is gonna be any long term popularity really.
 
One ought to. History seems to repeat itself. With the add-ons, activity went down and down... Covid restrictions having eased up do not necessarily make it better (for the game, whilst for the real life they do). Thank you for raising the point and conducting a poll.
 
I mean I think the goal of classic fresh is to relaunch classic and then take it on a different path and add more content to the original game versus going to tbc. If that's what fresh is all about I will certainly be twinking eventually.
 
Thanks for sharing this @Anexa...I hadn't seen the news yet. From what I just read in the article you posted, I'm TBD. I might be up for it, but there'd have to be a critical mass of twinks for me to feel like it was worth it. From what I'm seeing on my copied vanilla twink, it's completely dead, so that doesn't give me a ton of hope. But maybe it'll take off. If it does, I do wish they'd allow transfers from Vanilla Classic to these new restarts...not for a head start but so we can actually play these toons people like me paid them for.

nothing about classic wow servers whether run by blizzard or private servers are long term. fresh will be dead on next fresh
 
Yes.. you have no idea how addicted I've been to 19s for 16 years..

It would hate to give up my snowball of Twink gear stash..

Player base would be fractured I agree..

I would play til it was just me... Playing with myself.. and I'd be bored.. done enough of that.. ;3

I was curious about this as well... Might just try out 60 so I can try to enjoy pvp from day 1

wtf does this even mean, ofc its gonna be possible to twink, the only thing the exp bonus MIGHT change is the gear u use, e.g cant get deadskull shield etc

everything that has a quest requirement below 19 should be fine

but twinking on SoM is still dumb, doubt any levellers are gonna queue so ur gonna need 10 twinks on each side queueing which i doubt there's enough interest for

running premades at the earliest bg level to get easy ranking for pvp trinket when nobody is 60 yet is completely diff to twinking but i didnt expect much brainpower from a guy who mains vets on retail
