I think you can't buy Ametrine any longer. So farming Titanium Ore will take a long time. As a f2p I will go for something easier to obtain, like int / int+crit for marks of honor.

Titanium is pretty easy to find in wintergrasp. That said ye its not gonna be easy and int crit is a hell of a lot easier but its not best.

Your options unsubbed for pure +3 int gems:
Northrend JC - (Requires Northrend JC level 1) Brilliant Dragon's Eye costs 1 Dalaran JC Token
Northrend JC - Cardinal Ruby (Prospected from Titanium + Transmuted from Northrend Alchemy (1 day CD) + rare drop from Icy Prism ) Recipe costs 4 Dalaran JC Tokens
Mark of Honor - Brilliant Ornate Ruby
Expect to take at least 1-3 weeks on gearing if you want to go full +3 gems. The quest to learn how to transmute Cardinal Rubies (+3 gems), takes about 5 days, for 1 day transmute cds (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=14151/cardinal-ruby) When doing the laps for Wintergrasp, I was averaging 200-300 Saronite ore per hour for a total of 1400 ore over 7-8 hours. Having stacks of https://www.wowhead.com/item=122128/checkered-flag# and https://www.wowhead.com/item=124671/darkmoon-firewater helped a bit. Didn't keep track of Titanium unfortunately, but I got at least 40-50 Titanium Powder, which was enough for 4-5 Dalaran Jewelcrafter's Tokens. After prospecting, I ended up with about 50-70 of uncommon gems, and 30-40 of the rare gems (Scarlet Ruby, etc.) 3-5 of the Epic Gems (Cardinal Ruby, Ametrine, Dreadstone). Saronite isn't that important anyway, since you only really want Titanium
I would say, go +2/2 Ametrine or Dreadstone gems for the 5 Transmutes (choose 1 because each of the recipes is 4 JC tokens). And then daily transmutes/honor farm for the rest

The recommended amount here was around 1400 though, but after doing it myself, I'd say 600 saronite is doable, but it depends on how many cardinal rubies you get and how many daily transmutes you are willing to hold out for
