Timewalking BiS

Hey all,

I know this isn't necessarily what XPoff is focused on, but it is twinking. I was hoping if anyone had a current SL Twinking BiS list for Ret or plate dps, for most of the TW events.

Really looking for hidden or lesser known pieces. I'm familiar with Garrosh shoulders, the SH gem (+5str/6stam), MoP Lego Cloak/helm gem, WoD epic legendary ring, HoA/Azerite traits, and Ashen Verdict ring. I've played around with Shadowmourne and Shin'ka with the legendary gem so far. Are there any set bonuses which are cool and should be looked into? What is considered BiS in terms of trinkets. Are there any RPM or on-use trinkets or is stack sticks best? SL's Bell with its huge mastery buff is nice with rings. Gnawed Thumb Ring feels strong during burst as well, but 3m cd involves gear swapping. I've been looking into the Arcway/CoS 2p for plate but the vers doesn't seem that impactful.

Thanks for the future ideas and discussion.

Tried looking into this myself recently and couldn't find anything that was 'up to date.' I imagine most sets still include the old legendaries, and most TW heroes I see in the queue are rocking a lot of old proc gear, sockets, etc.

The newest addition to TW sets being the Heart of Azeroth with it's traits, which all work in instanced timewalking. That's also BiS afaik.

Same! Hope to bring some discussion here for it, not sure what other community might have an interest. I'll post a screen shot what I've got as a set shortly!

Missing the Garrosh shoulders still, but I rotate the other weapon above I mentioned, along with the Gnawed ring. Haven't decided on best trinket or bracers still. I know there's a lot of opportunity to improve just not sure on what. For HoA, running Vision of PErfection, Unbound Force, Blood of Enemy, and Lucid Dreams. Chest has Emp Power and Lights Decree azerite.

I clearly don't know how to link an image haha. https://imgur.com/a/cB4bbxw

The r/Timewalking Discord has guides for many specs and the one for Protection Paladins is great.

Personally, I'd heavily recommend going with Protection instead of Retribution. Playing tank gives you: (1) Faster queues; (2) Extra badges per dungeon during call-to-arms; (3) A free pass to do big pulls without having the group insulting you (+-).

A geared Tank still does a lot of damage while being able to dictate the passing. I tend to do about 60% of the group damage even as Prot in my TW Dungeons.

In this video I ran Grim Batol without having the BiS selection from the Discord, but still managed to play effectively. A cool thing about playing Prot is that you can pull agressively, do lots of AoE and still helps with strong heals to offset the danger of those big pulls.
