I guess people don't mind everyone else in the BG hating them. My team or not, that safespot should not be used. Why blizzard does all these other changes but leaves that alone I don't know.
It comes down to how much you do it. If you get reported for doing it in 50% of your games or hold the flag hostage for 2 hours in an unwinnable game, then a ban should not be a surprise.
I don't see what variation of views you expect on this. All of us know this is something you should not do. Just take the loss and try to be less bitter about it.

I get that it's overpowerd af spot and I wouldn't want to abuse something the community considers safes spotting, I've seen well known 60s take it hostage up there so wanted some opinions
