Assassin's Blade can be pick pocketed?

Well, in my search for Shadowfang i have been looking sometimes on thottbot and wowhead on what people have commented about thoose weapons, the little information(for thoose who farm after Shadowfang/Assassin's Blade) i've found out that it is only mobs from lvl 21 in SFK that can drop the weapons wich means only the bosses, however when i today looked for the comments for Assassin's Blade i also found out (i don't know if it is true or not though) that you can get AB from lockboxes PP'ed from humanoids from Hillsbrad.

If it is true or not, i will give it a try.

As I was questing on my blood elf rogue in Hillsbrad Fields, I tried to pickpocket all the humanoids there, with success. When I got back to Tarren Mill, I decided to level up my Lockpicking, by opening the three lockboxes that I took from the Hillsbrad Field Humanoids. In the very first of these lockboxes, I found this very item, amongst 37 copper and one Mind-Numbing Poison.

Also a user on wowhead name alarau said he could confirm it. I can cofirm you can get this from lockboxes you pickpoket. Got it on my rogue a week ago. Sold it.







I can't deciede if it's true or not, but i shared this information just in case anyone maybe found it usefull

Yep thats what i am thinking too, but can't be too sure either, the problem is that he didn't take SC while you still could see AB was in the lockbox, however you could see he had beeing opening some lockboxes before.
 
I bought one from a noob who got it from a chest in wetlands. So yes it has left the Keep as of a few patches ago.
 
It has not "left the keep."

Any zone drop has a chance to be in a chest/lockbox, because the chest/lockbox is not limited to drops from certain zones, it can be any drop from a certain level range.
 
if it is any helo to you guys, i got my shamans assassins blade off a lockbox from a rogue stealthed around where that Inferno Robe guy is...was getting the robe for a rogue aswell, i thought +15 resil was a good idea at the time...

Find me pictures of this. I've never seen a Zone drop Ever come out of anything but that zone... Other than the supposed assassins dropping in other places :)



I Prefer to see some sort of proof before making a conclusion That you have no idea about. Like the SS that was posted here :)

3 People confirmed AB and Teebu's has been confirmed to come from a lockbox.

How does a SS constitute anecdotal evidence? You really think the OP's SS is fake and all these people validating the claim are full of it?



I don't see why someone would go through the trouble of faking a screenshot to say AB drops from chests.
 
Any chance of shadowfang dropping too? that'd be the seckz.
 
Hmm... I wonder..

He could've possible recieved it from his mail box, and without anyone saying something, bought poison or looted it ^.< It's possible, but i doubt anyone leveling a rogue (glares daggers) (haha see the pun ^^) would have the knowledge to do so.



Oh crap, i have an 80 rogue :p
 
Tbh, idk. But why would people actually confirm it then? :p it's no use to confirm it, if it actually don't happen. @ Ramune, i don't think so, however i will not be 100% sure about that 1 either, but not seen any1 commented that they found SF in a lockbox... yet

Tebuu's is a world drop :)



If You've ever had a tebuu's drop for you or have one that you bought off someone who has had it, Please come find me and correct me. because i really do want to find the info, if this is true this could be the best way to get an assassin's/ etc
 
Hi folks! First of all, sorry to resurrect such an old topic. I wanted to let you know that I am the author of the wowhead comment about assassin's blade from a junkbox, and I want to know if anyone has the image that I posted there, laying about somewhere? I lost it and I want to look at it for nostalgia :D

I seriously doubt it, most image sites wipe that stuff after awhile. This is probably gonna get locked pretty soon since its a 12 year old thread. Maybe someone will DM you but I wouldnt get my hopes up.
