How to not get killed by warriors as a healer?

I have close to 30% vers, 3.8 k health and i get dropped like a fly by good warriors. (still a little rusty as i just started pvp'ing again, but still)

Keep in mind that it takes 2~3 non-warrior twinks to kill me usually so this is pretty rediculous.

I feel like I am misplaying this matchup greatly as I don't think my usual juking/kiting style works against this class at all.

Do I just stand still and spam flash of light on myself?

Just outrun them! Ain't you the formidable speed stacked sonic Paladin? Run, run, run to the hills!!! :ez:

If a warrior can jump you easily without getting punished for it, then you have to work on your positioning. When a warrior jumps a healer, they should get blown the fuck up, unless you're already losing the fight, simply because they should be in way too deep in order to reach you.

A. Use the combination of warstomp, HoJ, steed, & hallowed ground to escape the warrior and ideally reposition

B. Probably not an option for your paladin, but you can try forcing their kick as soon as possible by ideally hardcasting at 90%+ with bestow on yourself

C. Try to die in a favorable way, such as leading the warrior to the middle of no where or to your allies which have the option to save you

If you are caught off guard, be on the look out for crusader procs, sudden death procs, and sharpen blade (already applied). These are the cooldowns that you want to CC the warrior during if given the opportunity. Of course everything is situational, and you have to be aware of many different factors. Hope this helps :) .

I still don't think people get how Versatility works.............

30% means 15% reduction... if you get crit for 1500... you take 1275... people act like that is some huge reduction... it is not, when you have 3000hp.

i didnt know warrior are so strong in 20s too .. before, in legion 101, the only class that can kill my full twink ret pal in a matter of seconds is a twink warrior (1 particular one, and he didnt have have top end legion epics, from sister of elune, no other warriors had ever killed my ret), he always hide out of sight and jump on me, i die .. if i see him first, he dies .. they just have really good burst

It is when healing is involved.

Outside of not wanting to argue about nonsense stats. I also see its 30% world... not sure but that has to be like 23% BG?

If a warrior gets on you with double crusader up... well it just happens, if you don't have up some major CDs... guess what your hp and verse mean jack shit. Just how it is. Unless your escape route is also a straight line DIRECTLY away from a warrior... usually warmachine is up and they are just gonna catch you if you have to zig zag... regardless of your speed. Sometimes you just can't win.

I don't believe you when you say you don't have issues with other classes... survival/mm can do more damage regardless especially if they have an i49, and a REAL twink monk that pops some trinkets can drop you easy with turbo fists... and a warlock can always just get lucky with a mastery roll.

took you a whole hour. You feeling ok?

I read the thread. I sat back and stared out the window for quite some time, reflecting on past commentary... and just generally thinking about the universe and life in general... and it came to me... OF COURSE I'M GONNA BRING THAT CRAZY SHIT UP!.

I could be wrong, but I doubt he is having issues with people rocking heirlooms or BG crate blues.

He was memeing but this is the answer. Stronger heals means you stay in the green zone easier (out of execute range), especially with a nice healthy amount of haste too.

Any class with a spammable slow is gonna completely nullify the benefit of the speed set and consecration thing. Warriors are especially annoying since they can just charge again.

The best advice would be to have another set handy with much more int, otherwise, play the match where your team is all grouped together and create a sort of "ball of death" and make yourself as least appealing of a target as possible (or use your teammates to punish any warriors daring enough to try the chops charge).

thanks for the replies. especially the constructive ones. will play some more this weekend and see how i manage against people like sallyg

I did read the entire thread... which blows my mind... this is the only piece of advice that mattered (from up above somewhere)... for real.

I use nets on my priest for warriors, they charge into my team and get netted then die. There is always exceptions though like you are solo queing and your team just straight up ignores the melee balls deep in our team hitting our healers while they fight some random prot paladin. Net can give me some breathing room.
