Kind of new to this f2p/vet pvp I have been following the f2p baseline on here. I subbed a extra month so i know its not f2p technically. I pretty much have all my enchants done and rep and most my gear besides a few things. And im going to enchant and gear up every spec of my druid . curious what gems i should focus on for
Feral
Balance
Guardian
Resto? Besides the pvp gems bought for 1 honor in old town. I read tbc and wrath are 3+ when prospected sometimes? Or should i just forget the jewelcrafting and just finish my other professions like pandaria LW for the legs I cant enchant? And engineering for my cogs and etc?

I personally would (and I did) level JWC on a high level char (dranei if you are ally, it helps a lot), and send gems to alts. This is because for the epic TBC gems you are going to need rep from raids and dungeons your lvl 20 can't enter.

On the twink first thing I would do is get pandaria LW since you can drop it as soon as you enchant the pants (stamina on the caster pants, agi on the feral pants). If you don't want the engi head, you don't need 75 eng on the actual twink, you can get it on a high level and then send the dragonling with cogs to all alts, and only level eng up to the belt and cloak tinkers (25 mop, 5 wolkt, cata untill you discorver what you want, normally the healing injector).

On the gems: I'm not the best player around and stam helps me quite much in pugs (plus shadowsong amethyst was cheap, could get 300+ ez), so I normally go 2 primary/2 stam on most pieces, with all specs, and put either 3 primary or 2 primary/2 secondary in some duplicate items that I use when I feel I don't need the extra stam.

Talasites make 2 primary / 2 stam obsolete:

3x 2 primary / 2 stam = 6 primary / 6 stam
2x 3 primary + 1 talasite = 6 primary / 6 stam / 4 armor

Free armor. And that's even if 3 primary is better for your spec than 2 primary / 2 secondary (for some specs the latter is better).

I personally always talk considering recources and time, two things that I feel are a bit understestimated here.
Considering 18 gem/char, that means 6 talasite, for 12 chars means 72 talasite (and this considering you put them in pieces with enchants that work for all specs)
You expect me to farm what, thousands upon thousands of adamantite for 4 armor? Yeah the bag and hyal raid, but you would need loads of high levels to farm those every reset, and even then you would not get that many tala.
Shadowsong amethyst instead came quite easy on my server AH, could snipe 300+ for like 10s a piece the first day I subbed.

No, I get that. Effort should factor in. If you are gearing 12 characters, that multiplies, etc. Just saying that if effort is not an issue (ie, because you already have 300 gems from god knows where), then talasites are better than primary / stam.

Btw, on getting talasite from prospecting ore, it gets noticeably better if you add in https://www.wowhead.com/item=35945/brilliant-glass
