When are we going to address the elephant in the 20-29 bracket?

If you dont want to premade then you kinda just have to deal with it and take your lumps, you cant expect other people tp play your way.

It's really hard for me to take this guy serious while his hpal is holding a 2hander...

On the flip side i've played bg's all weekend long and 7/10 times the horde afk before the gates even open, that's 4-5 twinks per side. I could list them all but i'm not gonna put their names out there like that but they know who they are. Horde wanna cry about grouping but afk when they gotta actually play, looks to me some horde (not all) are just in it to beat on levelers. Others stay in the base and beat on the turnip til the bg is over and don't help their team out, those people also know who they are. So the issue is within it's self. As stated many times, everyone has the same amount of tools to put groups together..use them.

2 people queued together isnt a group? You literally need to make a party (or "group") to be able to play together. I'm so confused lol

I generally use the word "premade" to reference a group made of 4+ decked out twinks. unsure why you would be so confused?

I'm one of the few people who's not crapping on you for using that.
Because it reminds me of the first day I played wow, running up through redridge and into lvl50 zones as a lvl2 trying to get to ironforge because i didn't know about the tram. I'd already been very versed in similar games before, and I savored not knowing everything already because I knew the day would come where I did, and the wonder of it all would become mundane. I knew I'd only be noob once and to enjoy it. I wouldn't want to rob you of your own memories that way. But this forum being what it is, where people go to get the semi-authorative answers, you can understand how that cuts across their grains, and why when some people see that, they discount all else you would say.

need rated arena at 20, some day.

This thread is dumb and I'm gonna throw a bunch of word vomit trying to explain why

This bracket is known for being a casual, consume popping, get drunk with your friends and fuck around bracket. You aren't going to convince everyone to just solo Q just because its what you want to do. If you sit and solo Q you are almost guaranteeing yourself to get into one of games below
  1. Premade only on the enemy team - you get stomped
  2. Premade only on your team - you do the stomping
  3. Theres maybe one or two twinks on each side - random bullshit happens because levelers
Very rarely will the stars align and you get a premade on your team while facing an enemy premade because you insist on leaving your team up to chance. By joining a group you eliminate options 1 and 3 increasing the chances of you having a good game since the only variable left in play now is whether or not the enemy team is good. This is coming from someone who likes to solo Q on both factions.

The increase in available battlegrounds and the level squish including a larger subset of levelers has diluted the number of twinks in each game. Back when we only had the 3 BGs available to us the odds of the solo Qers and premades getting into the same games was relatively high compared to now where we are spread across 9 BGs. More available bgs means less chance of catching your faction's premades on your team and less of a chance premades match up against each other. This can only be remedied by recruiting more players into our niche area of play on both factions

These forums are pretty Alliance biased mostly because of the efforts put in by guilds like TF and SAG to build friendly communities that like playing with each other. A lot of the previous Horde attempts to do something similar resulted in either a toxic "holier than thou" attitude against outsiders, even other horde, or were destroyed by one or two bad eggs ruining it for everyone else. Currently Hash is making a very valiant effort to try to establish something like what the alliance have and I second Ohti's comment about if you do truly care about the state of the bracket you direct this energy towards helping your guild thrive and create a sense of community there. Threads like these only help to increase the prevalent "toxic zugzug horde" stereotypes and don't help the situation.

One of the main Horde mainstays <Cold Apples> has moved onto end game and isn't really queuing 20s. This removed a huge presence of horde premades from the pool which contributes to the feeling of horde being weaker. I'm not sure if Juke and Rancid were in Cold Apples but but I haven't seen them too much recently either. In BFA there was a definitive shift in BG results as horde would start winning a bunch more around 1-2 am Central when Juke, Rancid, and company would log on. Again this is a reason to help foster Horde War Machine since they can grow to fill this void.

tl;dr: Thread dumb

since the ah is shared across factions now, I'd say bh would be a good place to try to make it happen. i look at my old main's server's ah and there are literally no 28s to be bought. yes bh prices are insane but that cuts both ways and is a $ making opportunity. duno what other servers have active markets for our gear.

need rated arena at 20, some day.
You can set this up as a macro if you want to be able to check the arena mmr of your current target to compare against your friends or brag

/run InspectUnit("target")InspectFrameTab2:Click()C_Timer.After(1,function()local a,b,c=GetInspectArenaData(5)print(format("%s, %s %d, %s (%d%% winrate)",ARENA_BATTLES_2V2,PVP_RATING,a,PVP_RECORD_DESCRIPTION:format(c,b-c),100*c/b))end)

Should show up in your chat box like below if they have queued a skirm since SL

Edit: Added clarification that the macro runs against whoever your current target is, doesn't have to be you

How does this thread get 16 pages in less than a week yet we cant make a 10v10 wargame happen? :)

Edit: 16 pages of people complaining about unbalanced games of too many twinks vs not enough twinks, If only there was something that would pit 10 twinks against 10 twinks...

Pretending to run premade in the hope of running into another one? Sorry, nobody is buying that.
Premades by and large just stomps randoms and gy camp.

You can say I'm playing the wrong game, or the wrong bracket, that "you want to play with your friends", all that jazz, sure. But pretending that those disc priest/surv hunters premades do it for the spirit of competition, and the noble hope to face a worthy opponent? get outta here.

Everyone:
Glancealot: strawman arguement ignores all points

Ok so this glancealot guy is clearly a troll because I remember him taking on a 24 persona and making threads baiting f2ps back in 2011.

I didn't make the claim people do it in the name of competition thats taking a singular line out of my wall of text completely removed of context. I was more so replying to his claims of there being a huge faction imbalance and that everyone should just solo Queue to fix it. People group because its a multiplayer game and they want to have fun with their friends and/or want to avoid getting stomped. There are absolutely some people who group Q just to shit on people thats just undeniable but I dont think thats the main motivator for most. I'm mostly a solo queue person so the circle of people I do queue with, when I do join a group, is pretty small but most of them do prefer to get faced against other premades

Was not a troll back then

I can see that pov fosho and it’s understandable

We shall indeed disagree

The old f2p community was annoyed with glancealots trolling behavior. Old school f2pers were nice people they were not toxic and included everyone in their games. If they were insulting glancealot on the forums there was some trolling going on. He was a troll back then and is a troll now.
