Hardest non-healer spec to kill in BG right now?

Not necessarily for running flags, just to not die in 2 globals if your team is less than stellar. I was figuring maybe prot pally as even though they take extra damage they do have extra mitigation...

WW monk lacks some tools I would need or I'd go for that.
Maybe feral druid? With bear form for trouble? Decent heals/mobility?
DK just really lacks self heals at this level, in my experience. Could be off.
DH is kind of bland too, not sure it really has the tools to survive at 20.
Arms is strong if you're killing, but my god the slows in this bracket now...

Just looking for insight, had a bad run of games today and looking for something to toy with when your fellow faction simply isnt even able make games tolerable. Dont really condone just swapping to the strong side when losing. o_O

edit- left out things like hunter on purpose, over-saturated representation isnt really desirable.

Hey Warglave,

I've played exclusively Feral and Resto Druid since returning this expansion. So I can't give a great comparison between other classes. I will say, I think Feral survivability is great right now, but not if you're thinking of survivability as "I'm going to tank a bunch of this incoming damage".

Feral has great survival because
- Can shift slows
- Can pop dash and GTFO
- Can travel form and GTFO (though in practice this is often just a way to die later)
- Can self heal (mana runs out after about 4 Regrowths)
- Can go Bear Form and pop iron fur
- Has stealth to get out of situations that are bad (including the situation where you're getting GY farmed in WSG and stealthing away is more good for your mental health than actually having a chance at winning this BG)

Feral has poor survival if
- You focus on Bear form as your only means of survival.

As a final note, I'll say gemming goes a long way to be better at surviving, but does gimp your damage. I opt for damage.

Cheers,

I would say it is probably some tank specs ( prot pally, guardian druid, demon hunter), ret paladins, hunters (the sheer kiting ability adds to their survivability and they have a huge toolkit), and then hybrid dps classes.

Hunter.

edit: warrior fits your bill for not dying in two globals; it's just not a good solo queue class if you're looking to play long-term.

1) Don’t roll a tank — you won’t be helping your team and will be making the team you’re on more shitty, which sounds like you’re trying to get away from in the first place, right?

2) Can the spec only have three buttons? ;)
[doublepost=1613247334,1613246255][/doublepost]Roll a Ret Paladin or a Warrior if you’re going to DPS... or roll a healer.

I strongly disagree with this statement.
I have have played protection paladin this expansion and have had some very good experiences with group based pvp. Tank specialization is just like any other utility spec when playing objective based pvp. As a Tank you are a damage soaker, an off-healer, with gearing/gems you are able to optimize your dps, and PvP talents provide useful group benefits such as silence - targeted damage increase - aoe snare removal.

Armory Link of my twink, Veryscary , but there are several more examples on the forums

I mean, I get it, Prot’s okay in BGs and people like to link scoreboard screenshots with 60k damage and 50k healing. It’s different.

My point is that if you’re not a playing a healer or dedicated tank, you should probably play a dedicated DPS if you’re playing objectively, no? I mean, you can play a melee Disc Priest if you wanted and wouldn’t “die in 2 global if your team is less than stellar”, but you’d also be contributing to your team being less than stellar.

OP can play whatever he wants — I’m just saying if he’s going to DPS he may as well DPS. Not trying to crap on viability!

Idk about tanks. They take extra damage in pvp. I fought a twink prot war in eots today. He ate a 4.4 k soulfire (no zerker, no saltwater).
