Are there any good Mages... or Mages in general, on this board?

Arcane damage is easy, you should be pooling 4 charges and casting Blast. You can interweave free missiles if you want to be a little more mana conscious but Blast is the damage.

That's not what is going to make a good mage. Counterspell, Poly, Freeze, Alter Time, Slow will.

Int>Mastery>Haste=Crit>Vers

https://www.wowhead.com/spell=190740/mastery-savant is an incredible stat for Arcane. That being said Intellect is going to give you more damage output per point, I would not turn that down. The mana return isn't as impressive to me since you have

but it looks to be the best 2nd stat you can get. Versatility seems far less important this expansion with the addition of 2 blinks, counterspell, and shield.

Sorry but Frost and Fire aren't even close.
 
Gonna clear up some misinformation here...

Versa is still strong and is secondary to Mastery I would say as close to equal. Your choice of haste or Crit afterwards.

I could buy that, I was thinking more in terms of mitigating damage but as an overal damage increase I could see it. I still think crit is vastly underrated when compared to hitting for a few more points everytime.

How the farts would you get x2 Freezing Bands? Also, what’s Shatter cap?

Would be nice if Frost’s damage wasn’t balls, because the control is sexual.

Also, I know Wowhead is drunk, but the level 20 Freezing Band strictly has the 1% chance to freeze your opponent, whereas the level 47 required Freezing Band also increases Frost damage by like 21, which would be cool if you wore two.

Is that right? The whole proc chance doesn’t seem worth it whatsoever unless you actually get the +damage to Frost as well.

Matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve read a single topic that mentioned Mages aside from “The worst specs” thread from back whenever where it somehow turned into speculation whether Fire Mage was the worst spec because you can heat a frozen hot pocket, wait for it to cool down, eat it, and then take a dump and still be back at your computer in the time it takes to get a cast off.

I’m just curious how Mages are doing in 20s PvP so far in SL since there’s little to no chatter about them... unless I’ve missed it all — I do see that there are at least a handful of Arcane Mages that shared their Armory for the master Armory list.

The freezing bands are basically trash. A fun item youll never have time for in a bg. Also a huge loss of stats. We've pretty much summed up that frost was no good. I dunno why we're even discussing the rings randomly.

The item has 5 int on it, that's worth at least 10-15 vers, and you gain a freeze, which is pretty big for Frost. It's worth testing.

I've tested it. Its trash but fun. That's all. And 5 int isnt 15 or even 10-15 vers, its 1.5 ver per.

Are you suggesting I'm purposely misleading people. I think it boils down to a matter of opinion. I'm giving suggestions, if you have actual data you are welcome to post it instead of just sounding like an ass.
