EU+US Are You Guys Leveling to 10 SL?

This is mostly directed to current level 10 twinks on BFA.

With Shadowlands pre-patch just around the corner, the level squish is soon upon us. Over the last few weeks, I've spent a lot of time talking with other 10s about whether they'd be going back to 10 or staying level 5. In case you were unaware, in SL 10s will become level 5, consequently, losing access to Battlegrounds.

I personally have done very little testing this time around on the PTR for my current level 10. My only incentive to level to 10 in SL was when we thought f2p cap would be 10, which would have made our bracket the most active. Now that its confirmed to remain 20, I am more inclined to stay level 5 or maybe even 6 to gain Shield Block. With hopefully more access to gear/zones I could focus on solo PvE content while still achievement hunting.


To those few that still play or think of playing their level 10 twinks on SL, what are your thoughts? Are you staying level 5? Going to 10 or just leaving the bracket cuz RIP lvl 10s.

If any low levels need helms...

Welp at first when we thought ftp was 10 i leveled a current 10 twink to 20 in hopes it the ftp cap stayed 10. (Druid)

Exactly how I feel! I might just embrace being level 5 (still contemplating 6) and doing collabs with the lvl 1 community in events or pve.

Now wtf do I do with my "Level Ten Twinks" guild I own on BH...

I’m probably gonna keep my 10s at 5 if I want a new “10 twink” I’ll use my 20s also sell your guild to some try hard 20 who wants that name haha

Ikr so simplistic Ill probably try to sell it.

Im leaning more towards leaving my mage at lvl5 so if you need someone to run around with let me know ill have like 4 lvl 10s when squish happens no need to lvl my favorite 10(5)!

I'm not leveling my 10, eventually he'll be squished down to 1,

Also; TW gear req lvl 10 on ptr, so you cant equip it after prepatch

you guys forgot that twinks usually are the highest lvl of the pvp bracket? Im thinking lvl 19-29-39-49... And probably the lowest one of those is gonna be the most extreme in terms of outragious stats and crit chanse etc.. Also with the least skills.
Im probably going for a lvl 19 Rogue or Hunter ^^

Level 10 has become a pve twink level, pvp doesn't matter.

X9 levels are for cowards.

im not a coward

yeah im not leveling a 19 or 29 untill i know those BGS actually will pop. nothing like making all these twinks just to look at. already have both those brackets and like i said they sure look good at the character menu

like most of them do currently unless they are lvl 20. . .

10's all the way, and as @ohti said, 10's are for PvE mostly (at least since post WotLK after we lost all our >9000 scaling, even in BG's)

Staying 5 on Ioerror and Msioerror. Waiting for the next 2 or 3 level squishes to have the ultimate level 1. . . Meanwhile gtg to Ogri’la with Ioerror and pick up the Tabard - forgot to do that after obtaining the Crystalforged Trinket.
