Shadowlands Pre-Patch Check List

You can get it without HoA, and it's just RNG. Had a hell of a time back in the beginning of BFA on a couple toons myself.

edit- apparently the quest itself became shareable at one point? Could find someone with it and give that a go...

They are rng, but its weird because I was testing it on my 50s last night and my geared rogue got 0 after about 20 chests, and my hunter got 12 in 20 chests. Too coincidental, I don't know what the hell is going on with that.

In all the zones, there was a special area that was for apexis daily stuff for level 100s, that's all these ilvl 44 areas. Socrethar's rise is another area like that in shadowmoon, so yeah, i definitely could see them level locking this to whatever 100 scaled down to

They could, but levelers can and have gone to these areas. They have full access to them now. Would be a little weird to get a drop from an equal lvl mob that requires a lvl you dont have access to. It could go either way in my opinion, they either scale these weird zones up and prevent levelers, or they scale everything to level to fit the now access to all zones way which is much different then the time of wod. Or they just slap level requirements on all of them even tho levelers quest and get gear from them, which they generally don't do. I think they will scale it.

I got the quest starter right away, be sure the chests your opening are just the random "small chests" after that. The placed chests (soggy map chest etc) wont have them, but yeah sometimes it has 1 or 2, sometimes none. Your looking for small chests in tirisgarde or zuldazar, theyll appear on your minimap as a chest
 
and I can do it in all the zones for BFA right?
 
nope, only the two starter zones. The other ones are level restricted to 25+ and.... skull when i went there on a 20.

edit- tirisgarde and zuldazar as someone said above.

HELLO... cool PRO XPOFF Twink guys. Can someone of you stop being so pro-ish in xpoff twinking gearing stuff and answer my simple question - Are these 20-49 lvl Epic BGs just a pre-patch event or they gonna be a permanent thing in Shadowlands?

Nobody fucking knows or they probably would have answered you by now.
 
most likely its a permanent change. they probably did it to ensure that all levelers can do epic bgs since they didnt pop in BFA

Even if this is a permanent change, I bet the Epic BGs gonna die soon - after the SL release.
Most of the subs gonna do SL content and wont do PvP leveling, IMO.
Enjoy it while it lasts :p Join Epics 24/7 for 2 months, before the Average Waiting Time to become from 2 mins (alliance) to 2 hours.

Leave the normal RBGs for later... now is the time for Epics!
 
I have to ask since i'm stuck with the WOD apexis assault rares. I'm either confused, overwhelmed or both by all the new information since i didn't play WOD. I understand that doing the rares in the apexis event aren't just any rares. Do I need a garrison quest to trigger this? How do I know the rares are active and can drop ilvl44 at a particular time?

They are always up, it's just the specific apexis areas in each zone. So like Socrethar's rise in shadowmoon valley.
You can just walk up to them and kill them (besides a few in talador that are phased if you aren't max level for WoD)

This circles where the Apexis areas are on each map, it shows each assault area that would have the rares for that level, plus the loot they (might) drop
 
Does it matter which "Chromie" expansion you choose to do as level 20?
Do all the expansions Outland, Legion, Draenor, MoP, Cataclysm, etc. give you the same item scaling?

For example: all item rewards from Legion and BGs are +5/6 Agility for huntard, if you are lucky and get a purple quest reward pop - maybe +7 Agi max.

If there is no bigger reward in latest expansions, then I would like to do some old zones and Cata quests.
 
I really do hope about 90% of this shit just gets removed... was really hoping for a secondaries matter, etc xpac... this is just a straight up main stat/stamina is broken cash grab :p

Gets less exciting every post I read.

Thanks i think i assumed i was doing something wrong or there was more to it because one zone i went into i couldn't find any rares

They were probably killed recently. Some rares have 1-2hr respawn timers. I had to wait about 2 hours for me to get my Shoulder rare to spawn.
