39 BiS Standards (All Classes) Updated for Phase 5!

Thoughts on 1% dodge to cloak vs +5 resistances?
 
Can't think of a class that it would matter much on besides Rogue who ofc wants Increased Stealth. Resistances are highly underrated imo.
 
Quick questions: Is Mage Improved Counterspell an on demand silence like the one Spriests have or do you have to use it when people are casting?

https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=12598/improved-counterspell is like the s-priest's https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=15487/silence plus the regular interrupt effect of https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=2139/counterspell , that interrupts a spell school for entire 10 sec

in 1vs1 for instance, it's kind of common to open with improved CS silence --> polymorph --> wait a few seconds for cooldown --> free cast your greatest damage ability

I recommend to use it as an interrupt effect though

That looks nice Scrufy. What kind of gear/spec are you running with? Any particular strength or weakness with holy in your opinion?

https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/priest/4-20505130202014-01 is the spec I run when I play holy... obviously you do not need to put a point into blackout if you dont want.

obviously this is pretty much a meme build meant for high damage.

I think holy is pretty good, I havn't played it that much ( I usually play disc / shadow https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/priest/50013213-2-05014201 )

But if you're looking for big numbers as a priest holy is the way to go.

Holy is good damage as long as you aren't fighting anyone competent imo. Going up vs a Mage for instance as Holy is pretty useless. Shadow gives you a lot more utility and similar damage in my experience.
 
Holy priest can be very good, not a meme-spec. But you have to be careful with mana and you're gonna have a bad time if you get caught alone. Me, I always get caught alone, so I always recommend shadow with 7 in disc for martyrdom. Lets you spam Mindflay in a physical dpser's face. Also, the stun resist will ruin a rogue's day. Shadow Weaving vs Shadow Reach is personal choice.

Edit: I'm curious if anyone has tried Rainstrider Leggings yet on a disc priest? Feels suboptimal to have agi on them, but the sheer amount of spirit might make up for it.

I could see those Rainstiders for resto druids and disc priests with the in combat mana regen talents, or holy with the spellpower from spirit. I rock Dalewind Trousers on my 49 disc over 15/15 greens sometimes for that reason.

I've seen some balance druids and they are absolutely fine

their https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=8950/starfire hits for like 750ish crits which is rather high.
The cast-time of starfire is quite fast with the https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=16880/natures-grace talent

then mobility is good as well, can swift out of polymorph, clear rogue poisons etc. Then you heal well as well.

Kind of annoying, but I would not say that they're OP and have a game changing impact on the battleground, like you would probably have if you are a resto druid
 
Damage is decent on boomkin but in order to get there you need to stack +damage every slot which exacerbates your already crippling mana issues. At face value feral/balance seem decent because you have a bunch of potential utility. But in practice you are eternally oom and sad. Not worth unless looking to meme.
 
Anyone got a few tips on what items to pick up from AH/quests before TBC? Playing priest, rog and druid

And what OH would you use instead of Prophetic Cane on ally 39 FC druid?
 
Start farming expert goldminers helm, it becomes bis for rogues. Also as silly as it may seem, I vividly remember robes wearing dresses in BC, robes of the lich.

When do the ulda mobs become a different level? At some point items like pod, bushmaster and a few others completely stop dropping. I dont remember if its BC or wrath.
