Fellow 39's, it's been awhile...

TLDR: Come bring your old GF'ed 39's to Stormrage to find new life as a 19!

After the Twinkpocalypse of 2019, our bracket hasn't seen much action (though I have tried!). I know many of us have poured our hearts and souls into these treasured characters, and well, I feel your pain. My 39 huntard has seen the ups and downs of every expansion since Vanilla, and this expansion takes the cake on changes to our toons.

Rather than lament the loss of our beloved 39's, let's instead push forward into the future. As you may or may not be aware, all existing characters will be having their level "squished" when the Shadowlands Pre-Patch hits in just a few short weeks. 39's will be level 17, and 44's will be 19. This presents an enormous opportunity for our bracket to thrive when all these changes go live.

EDITED*
I will be leveling my old GF'ed 39 Huntard to level 44 come SL Pre-Patch and playing the "new" 19 XP-OFF bracket that will emerge as a result. I would love to see the old 39 crew (Anyone remember Project Ahoy?) come together and help me create this "new" bracket!

Here is what the level squish will look like:

I have a guild on Stormrage with tons of items that may be hard to find/GF'ed come SL, and will be looking to recruit members for the upcoming bracket! I am primarily interested in recruiting former 39's players, but other brackets are encouraged to apply!

this could be a really cool opportunity to revive the community. 39s are the coolest group of people I ever had the pleasure of playing with and I'd love to see folks make a come back for what could be a pretty wild xpac.

SL 19s see a lot of potential. I mentioned in another thread that I think the ability range will resemble 39s, and the wide range of instances available will give SL 19s the gear selection of old 69s (including some interesting proc weapon choices), while keeping players out of the range of raid gear. However, I'm concerned the socket gear and potential access to mastery gems could make for some obscene burst in the bracket. That puts me down for a definite maybe. Once I see how F2P stats end up, I'll make a decision about SL 19s.

With that said, if @Chops shows up in SL 19s, I very well may take the opportunity to bust out the Green Whelp Armor just for the chance to get an earful again.

Classic 39s better.
I do agree, but for me atleast is the time spent on getting to 39 is a hassel. But i enjoyed it and playing on my rogue. Wish there where some 39s tho on EU tried for 2 days to get in a que but no1 ques... played classic instead

Is this only US or? And what faction?
I mean if EU wants to organize their own response, I'm not stopping them. But I'm on Alliance US so that's where my effort is going.

Classic 39's are only better for those who never played Vanilla. I did my time in Vanilla. Never again...
