PTR Level 10s in Shadowlands

I know there's some chatter among 39s about taking their toons to 19 after the squish. Really looks like it could be a cool bracket.

SL 19s are shaping up to look a lot like current 69s in terms of gear access. They have a staggering amount of instances available to them, and access to all of the overstatted gear questlines.

Not even really geared and all my gem slots are empty. health pool just shy of 1900 and rampage tooltip of 300. Could be a very fun bracket.

Even without any gem gear I am two shotting elites with 4 stack arcane blasts nd soling bosses still, I kinda hope they buff elites/dungeons a bit before going live.

Questions for those who played WoW for the last few years I was gone:

1) Can F2Ps get non-native armor types from dungeon drops i.e. is there a way for a F2P warrior to get a leather drop, or do all methods of doing so require a working trade window, leaving F2Ps out?
2) I remember reading something about WoD or Legion or BfA gear drops proc'ing sockets and tertiary stats. Did that include dungeon drops, or just quests, BoEs...?

I did preliminary research of socket gear that drops in instances (specifically the 4 TBC and 2 Wrath instances that currently portend to be available to F2Ps in SL, assuming F2Ps cap at level 10), and all armor-type-specific slots have socket options with the following exceptions: cloth has no head, wrist, nor feet; leather has no wrist, nor feet; mail and plate have no wrist. There is a TBC quest for socket leather feet, but that will likely only become available to vets.

Hey, so if you have a friend party you and run the instance you should be able to get it those drops just as if you were to try and farm WC for slitherscale set for a holy pally. I like you for a long time thought this was not possible because i hadn't really played WoW since cata.

Just to clear this up - you can't do it in a dungeon que - you have to manually enter the instance.

Any reason to come back now instead of right before Pre-Patch? I give no shits about End Game in WoW, only Twinking.
Unless you need gold or marks of honor for the gems probably not. Or if you want to level a class to 20 before the pre patch to be ready to go.

1-A) drops are common, but kind of mediocre stats compared to ones that drop from bosses.

1-b) trade really isn’t a thing anymore in dungeons, blues that drop aren’t trade-able and greens aren’t really sought after due to most of them being too common.

also, still can’t trade as a ftp/btp as of yet.

2) tertiary yes, but the socketed items are probably from the loot bags from those dungeons.

I have yet to see a socketed item from the dungeon bag for ftp/btp as of yet.

Logged on my priest and all the spec-defining abilities are locked to level 11.
The only good thing is I kept shadowform buff from bfa despite not having access to it anymore

Hope blizz arent purposely fucking up lvl 10s, gonna check other classes now

Wow, Shadow without Shadowform is woeful.
I’ve been playing Prot Warrior, and though it didn’t seem to change with the recent patch, its just terrible. In between Shield Slam the only rage u can build is by getting punched in the face!
Then, should u decide to Slam someone, kiss goodbye to ur AoE for the next minute
Hard to keep aggro, no taunt ability...... it’s really terrible at 10.
I really hope they adjust the abilities before the pre-patch!
