Patch 9.0.1 PTR - Build 35522

Ty! Been thinking about how an update would look, def seems like we'll need gems. Kinda hoping to figure out brackets before I go too far, but 10 stuff seems like a solid starting point.

If only I could chill in a city in peace on PTR :D
It's much better now, I was there last night. If you want to grant me edit access? I can start filling things out. I'd probably start with that wowhead list and just get the names in there. I can ask a JC to link tonight and start filling out stats. Maybe something like this?

I've been trying to keep up with gems for like... a week. Its insane, to say the least. There are SO MANY.

What it might be best to do is follow like, a main stat and a couple multi stat combos across all the expacs. Like a small sample size. Just so maybe we learn which xpacs gems scale to be bis, rather than trying to track the literal hundreds of gem variations.

[doublepost=1597348668,1597347436][/doublepost]Honestly @Swoops I would just copy the names on everything and make a new document. There's so much good data here that's going to be overwritten, some private server would love this.

Hah yeah, i made a fresh copy to mess around with already, started getting the framework set up a bit. Also PTR does seem better today!

I think it's a little early to actually go through all the numbers right now. This stuff has changed a lot over the course of PTRs in the past, and at a quick glance some of it still looks kinda goofy (a lot of enchants showing 0 or not scaling down, Shadowlands enchants not scaling, spellthreads not working, etc). So far it doesn't look like there's any extra grandfathering on the scaling stuff, seems like just a rough idea of what we're looking for is ok for now (aka save marks for the broken 5/5 gems).

It's surprisingly not too bad going through and grabbing the numbers once everything's set up! The unlearned tab in professions makes it super easy (for the stuff that actually matches the tooltip lol). Just have to pick up the profession on a character at that level and you can see the (alleged) scaling on everything.

Gems will prob look similar to the ring enchants, broken up by expansion with epic 1 stat/epic 2 stat/rare 1 stat/rare 2 stat, etc etc. Once we actually know what ilevels are available i can block those out by level too. Probably a quick breakdown of available stat combos. The vendor/drop ones are a bit trickier, but there are few enough that filling in the gaps from drops and wowhead item links works out ok.

Not sure what levels I'll have in there yet either. I'm expecting 10 level brackets scaled to x9 still, so kinda thinking 10, x9s and 50. I did level a former 39 from 17 to 19 to check out numbers there too.

Just to add to this, right now for a quick look at stuff with no ilevel requirement - TBC and Wrath Jewelcrafting epic gems are both +3 single stats, 2/2 double stats. Rare/Green ones are worse.

The TBC heroic drop ones are really good if they end up available. A little inconsistent (the 5 int/8 vers one scaled down to 1/1), but most of the 5/4 and 5/6 ones i checked seemed to keep their stats.

Have we gotten any non lvl 50 arenas to pop to see the level scaling/brackets? Lvl 50 arenas pop, azerite traits and neck work in them, no bg pop yet.

I’ve got a 7 min est on my horde 10 warlock right now for arena, broxxigar realm

25 min est for bg

I can get 2 in Q in about 30 mins, what side should we be on?

Juan has 2k hp (he's way more geared than me.) His regrowths crit for 1200.

Brewmaster looks funnnnn I just had a 699 touch of death lol. It was vs a boar though.
Hunter looks stupid broken, of course. Can you fear a druid with scare beast?
Was excited for ToD until I realized it was only usable on creatures.

Potent Ornate Topaz and Deadly Ornate Topaz is the name of the 5 int/crit and 5 agi/crit gems that you buy from the vendor in Org/SW pvp hall.
