US Fresh, New DH 111 twink needing guidance.

Hey, just made my first ever twink, and its at 111!

Looking for any advice. I want this character to do old Tmog runs and current skinning/lw farms, as well as raw gold farms.

Looking at the forums, the general stats I see are to go mastery/vers, but I've seen other profiles where they go mastery/haste and mastery/crit. Am I on the right path?

Just made her 2 days ago, shes quite new!

Thanks in advance!

Since you don't plan on engaging in PvP, super optimising the twink is a bit of a waste of time. Focus on mastery so you get your speed up, regardless of what other secondary stat you go for you'll be shredding through any same-level mob(s) with ease. I'd check the speed twink armory thread for ideas, as gearing around runspeed while keeping a reasonable level of dps gear is probably best for what you've listed as your goals.

If you want to super optimise anyways, one thing to keep in mind is that the neck does not give versatility, but a huge chunk of crit/mastery/haste (316 each at neck level 88). So you'll always be behind on versa, which for a self-heal class is a very strong stat. I'd prio mastery --> versa/haste --> crit personally, but it'll be best to hear from people who actually play DH seriously at this level :).

GL!

stack mastery for speed not damage. eyebeam spam with the legion head legendary is how its done.
here’s my no antorus runs DH.

leggo head and sephus ring are how this class smashes content and island expeditions. play around with the shoulders/chest az slots to find a combo you like. one resets eyebeam which can come in handy if your eyebeam get interrupted or silenced by a mob. have fun let me know your island expeditions time!

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I never thought of doing Island Expeditions, is there a guide to that somewhere?

And I know stacking mastery is the best for DH, but I'm still not sure what my 2nd best stat should be. I know Villiansv said theres a lack of versatility, which is the 2nd stat I've been stacking, but my haste is super low (like 7%!). Is that fine, or should I swap out some vers for haste?

If you actually don't need the additional tankiness from versa, I'l personally go mastery>haste>versa>crit. Getting haste up is a huge quality-of-life improvement on most classes. You will definitely feel a lot more fluid if your GCD is closer to 1s than 1.5s, plus haste brings down the base cooldowns of some of your abilities (notably, Blade Dance/Death Sweep). Do note the amount of haste you get from Meta though, and maybe plan around that so you don't end up wasting some of the stat (GCD can't go below 1s). With that said, you will probably want to regear away from haste and towards versa once your neck hits high levels (and you start getting enough haste mostly from your neck).

Just my musings, freely stating again I don't play a DH seriously.

Which 2 pieces should I get from Antorous for the +40% eye beam dmg? I see there is alot of gear to choose from, but not sure for min/max. what do most people do?

just a question, Why mastery over Crit? is it purely for the Movement speed? cuz my 111 DH is currently on like 50% Crit/25%Haste and then 32% mastery
Not only is it for speed, but it improves your chaos damage to 1 shot alot of things with eye beams and chaos strike! I'm sitting at 107% mastery, which improves my chaos damage by 107%!
