Do FCs ruin pugs?

So do you just afk when you have to fight a Hunter in those brackets or how do you deal with them?

Also please expand on how Hunters kiting Hunters is OP.

I'm still doing all my jumps by hand, not only do different jumps need to be hit a little differently and macros would feel like cheating. They are, and using 3rd party software to do so is bannable. Even if you had a full momentum jump key getting jumps right would take practice and positioning.

All that said an FC on each team is necessary for a good game. Jumping is a big part of the 19s experience, another skill component that allows a twink to further increase their edge over players who don't put in the same amount of pre-work. If it weren't for the fact that twinking is effectively looking for as many ways to gain an edge and piling them on to use them against other players... it would feel a bit unfair that people can just go places I can't yet follow well enough to actually do damage.

However, since that's what twinking is I congratulate all jumpers on their skill : )

Regarding hunters as a rogue you have options: find a place to LOS and force a fight, use sprint to close the gap, icy in combat can sometimes by useful to even the playing field, discombulator ray is your friend. Hunters have tools, but so do rogues, play to your strengths and you can find ways to win most 1v1 fights.

I believe they already explained if they are FCing, they can't deal with them and just die.

It's unclear what you mean by "Hunters kiting Hunters". To me, it feels like a leading question. I believe @Ryotenchi was talking about Hunters kiting other classes, likely one of the classes they play (basically anything besides a Hunter or Warlock). I could understand how a good Hunter would be frustrating to play against.

In your case, since you play Hunters, it makes sense to ask the question - how are Hunters OP? They can't kite other Hunters. In your perspective, you're correct. Good, experienced Hunters such as yourself counter Bad Hunters.

As a masterrace #balancedclasses 39s player myself, Hunters at my bracket only seem to be broken at midfield. Otherwise Hunters have to deal with all kinds of LoS bullshit indoors.

I have also played in past expansions. At 29s when Aimed shot was instant cast, :LUL:

And shamans.. And priests.. And mages.. And warlocks.. And Hunters.. and warriors.. did I miss something? What Im getting at is doesnt matter how much damage you do if you are completely untouchable.. with no mental capacity whatsoever motorboating your keyboard like a brain dead monkey.

This was in response to my comment saying the only fun part about playing Hunter at 19 is kiting Rogues. Clearly to them, Hunters are literally impossible to play against considering they are 'completely untouchable' even if they were to do almost zero damage it seems like this person would just give up. Naming off all those classes and suggesting that Hunters can kite them just like a Rogue was already ridiculous but then to include Hunters in there just puts it so over the top, I want to know more.

Does this person mind when Hunters are on their team? Do they feel more confident vs them in the other brackets (where they are far more powerful)? The logic just doesn't seem like it can coexist with the game.

I'd have to disagree there. My entire goal as a 39 Hunter is to lead the enemy through choke points, slowing and harassing them. Outdoors I can get flanked and my traps can be avoided; nothing safer than being in the tunnel with Frost Traps in front and Flares behind. Sure I can go mid and do good damage and drain Mana, but it doesn't compare to doing the same thing at a bottleneck.

In competitive games the only real role for a Hunter is defending the FC, usually at a choke point on or bellow the roof.

Yeh.. this isnt part of the thread anymore dude.. you are detracting for you own ego. Move on. Clearly someone can explain better than I, and I thank him/her for it.

I notice Horde always has a good comp and competitent FC.. when Im there and when Im not.. and Alliance never does or its a premade and unplayble due to levelers on my team not being able to do the jumps.

Yeah, you're right I'm obviously wasting my time discussing anything with you. Your use of always/never makes it clear that you have the perspective of a spoiled child when it comes to competition.

Dude.. Stop trying to insult me for your fragile Ego.. Get back on subject.

From the guy who first brought up Hunters in a thread about FCs...

What is this "hunter kiting hunter" nonsense?

Want to destroy another hunter? You actually charge and melee him. Bring out a fiery enchanted Night Reaver and whack away. If you're an Orc, you finally get to use your racial.

Most twink hunters are so daffy they don't think of alternate gear switches so if you do, that's an instant victory against other hunters.

Anyways, regardless of comparisons to 29 and 39's, hunter remains a very strong class at 19.

Dude you are pathetic.. The point was you cant get across the field with a comp of 3-6 huntards every single game.. And the other point was.. huntard is lazy and 5-6 hunters every game proves it..

Im on subject.. you are not.. you are on an ego trip. GET OVER IT.

One final point.. Back in original classic: 50% of the over all number of classes played were hunters.. because they are a lazy class that is easy for anyone to learn.. easy for anyone to get ahead with out having to put in the full load of effort.. Like I am.

*Mic drop* Im outa this bitch.. You cant stay on topic and just want to argue over your fragile ego.

I went with Agi on the Reaver myself. It's already got a great proc on it and with Agi it's actually just fine holding it once you burn through some Mana and Health (that the Chanter Staff supplies). Switching to it for melee makes all the difference though for sure.

As an Alliance only player, I can tell you Horde does not always have a competent FC. Some games they have a number or levelers. And comp is all over the place. Overall Horde seem to be 20%~ more hardcore, but that's about it.

But even if you were always against a competent team, you always have 1 factor you can completely count on: yourself. If you can follow and kill the EFC reliably, or carry the flag and run indefinitely you give your team a very very good shot at victory. I always plan as if I need to carry hard, and then work with and encourage my team to do what they can. Sometimes my team stomps the opponents and leave me with little to do, other times it's a really really difficult challenge and helps me see the flaws in my current setup so I can adapt and do better next game : )

Regarding hunters and crossing mid, I can't tell you how many games there is a whole team waiting out front only to have the FC sneak or speed right past them all : P

People can use macros/programs for jumps? How? Which ones? First I'm hearing of this.

As a simplest use case, you could write a macro for any programmable keyboard or mouse. It's easy to do and very reliable. But also against the TOS. There is 3rd party software you can install such as AutoHotkey that will do it as well. All 3rd party software is against the TOS, and they don't issue warnings it's just a perma ban.

Honestly, all it takes is a guild to form even if casual and have 1-2 strong players who can teach/lead them. I am part of a guild on Windseeker and almost everyone in it has twinked before but doesn't know what jumps are. We take about an hour per week to practice jumps, I link them the discord to which they can see which jumps they want to learn and 2 of us go around showing them how to do jumps and we wargame for awhile just jump practising. If they are looking for faceroll, I suggest they stay at 60. That is where most of it is, just because there is more buttons does not mean there is more skill. IE ele shaman 1 shotting people, no one gets one shot as a 19 twink ever.

all it takes is people working tog-
oh wait nvm you got me here lmfao

The only issue I have with pugs is how people are unable to play a 15 year old game. It's always issues with slowing the EFC
  • warriors who open up with rend instead of hamstring the opponent's charge stun
  • hunters who only wing clips in selfdense, not peeling FC in general - nor keeps efc slowed
  • mages who uses arcane missiles and fireball instead of frostbolt for higher damage output (which is still low)
  • intellect druids who doesn't go into bear form when being attacked by a melee (nor use nature's grasp for that matter)
  • shaman/priests who doesn't purge buffs, hots, shields, including AGM
  • priests who doesn't dispel e.g. polymorph and frost nova
  • healers who only throw some HoT here and there, doesn't bother using their stronger heal abilities.
  • rogues who are nonstop chasing opponents in stealth, can't find any timing to get a stealth opener on anyone
  • paladins who doesn't use hand of freedom on any relevant targets but themselves. Expecting them to use it on the flag carrier or well geared twink warriors > rogues > hunters
  • Levelers who are still breaking CC's like polymorph and saps on supergeared twinks that will certainly 3 shot them.
A good flag carrier doesn't ruin the game in my opinion. They surely make the BG longer than it normally would, but I would say it's funnier that way. Short BG's are boring.

I also think the extreme amount of fail rogue twinks ruins the bracket. Anexa is made to counter those, but I usually see more rogues in my own team than Horde.

Do FC's ruin pugs?

No, they do not if the tank knows what the fuck they are doing. This is why a lot of people hate tanks in BfA arenas and randoms. They are required for RBGs however. /shrug. I'm not going on a tangent.

Yeah it can definitely turn the mood of the game sour

but ya know git gud :)
