EU+US Corruption below 120

So with the introduction of the corruption vendor, does anyone think it’s possible to buy a corruption on a 120 and apply it to say, a 233 item level BoE? Then mail said BoE to a lower level toon. Wondering if it would make the item bound right away or not, or if there’s a minimum item level that corruptions can be applied.

If this is possible to do, this opens up a lot of options for twinks below 120. So what would you do with this if you could? I’m thinking Infinite Stars or Vers amp for my 111 DK.

Side note: Can corruptions be applied to the Legion crafted legendaries?

AFAIK you can only apply it on items that can innately roll corruption. I don't think any sub-120 BoEs can do that, and as for crafted items only those that are specific to the 8.3 patch are eligible (so that's again 120-only items).

I think the only source of corruptible gear for sub 120s is the war/secret supply caches (and those only for like 116/117+ seem to roll corruption anyways). I don't see how a 120 can apply corruption to such an item and be able to trade it after.

Of course there may be loopholes - but I would imagine they would be quickly closed if they do exist. I shudder to think what I can do to 120s with a void tentacle proc, or any of the other more bursty corruptions.

I just want expedient for my speed warrior D:

I do know for a fact heroic items can corrupt. not sure about normal mode
[doublepost=1590084533,1590083200][/doublepost]I have the weak aura that tells the corruption state of an item. It looks like new dungeon gear has the pristine tag so it may be possible? If anyone wants to try it hit me up and if it works I'm willing sell corruptions

It is definitely applicable to Corrupted Aspirant gear, but I didn't have any BfA dungeon gear on my 120(I think) for me to attempt it on. If it does work with dungeon gear the trade glitch method would likely be possible. If it is possible I would totally try to buy or trade corruptions for my 110 or my 119, indeed being able to apply the corruption you want would be insanely strong at that level. I would try it with my accounts but I don't want to buy BfA on another account. Hope this works I was definitely wondering if its possible. Imagine if they allowed BoAs to be corrupted lol.

If you or anyone else is US alliance we can try to do a corruption deal

So... What gear works and what doesn't? Has there been successful attempts for anything below 120?

Honestly for my 119s I'm not sure if I'd want a 273 item replacing a 378/388. But maybe in shadowlands when the item squish happens, a 273 with corruption will be valuable. And I don't think trinkets can have corruption applied to them. But for 110s/111s this could be valuable. Or even certain classes at 119s where there isn't a 378 available for a certain slot.

Big time interested in %mastery corruption for my 111 if anyone knows any useful information how it might be possible.

While corruption is especially powerful below 120, I don't think it would be worth 1 million gold for a single corruption heh. It also of course depends on the corruption, but 1 million gold is still 1 million gold. Not sure what it would be worth, but easiest path would be corruption trading.

It would be worth based on the amount of content (echo of Nyalotha cost) I need to do to buy something like a r3 mindflay. That would be 1-2 weeks of doing daily emissary and +15, n raid clear, 3 visions of nzoth not to mention the success on the trade itself.

Nobody is hitting 120 doing some wq and instant buying corruptions. You get 1-2 Low cost one a week if you Do everything available. The high rank ones like mindflay cost a lot of currency And not to mention that’s a corruption that the seller doesn’t get to use themselves.

You can farm a disgusting amount of Echoes from doing 2s.. they aren’t hard to get. I got like 10k echoes this week from 2s alone lol. Not a single corruption is worth anywhere near a million gold when you can get 10k in a week from PvP alone

Perhaps it might be worth it to someone if they don't have a 120, but most people I would imagine generally have a 120 if you have a 110-119. Yes its not easy to get if you just hit 120, but you cannot hike the price on something if your trying to use a fresh 120 with higher effort to sell something that is otherwise cheaper. There are multiple 120s and people will just go somewhere else. You also have to think about what the buyer could do else wise with 1 million gold. With 1 million gold I could buy roughly 9(9 months gametime or 135$) tokens and have about 32000 gold left over. With this I could buy BfA and gametime on two seperate accounts and a character transfer to simply do it myself with plenty left over. Or I could use it to fund quite a few twinks, which is especially looking to be promising in Shadowlands where I am sure gold will be necessary(and you may not even need to go through as many hoops or any hoops to get corrupted gear by then).

Indeed echos can take a little effort to get, but not an insane amount and like Matt says if you do the correct avenues you can get a decent amount fairly quickly. I still stand by that any corruption is not worth 1 million gold, and I don't think you would find many takers for it. Heck I would do it for the person for free just so that they didn't waste 1 million gold on something like that. Sure corruptions are powerful, but not that powerful unless you stack them and even then corruption negative affects help balance it out. This is also especially when its uncertain what their fate in balancing or in Shadowland will be.
I understand where you are coming from, its not like the gold price should be 5k it should still have a decent cost, but I definitely still think 1 million gold is way too much.
[doublepost=1590213479,1590209737][/doublepost]Also just a heads up, Versatility rank 3 % available for purchase for 5000 echos. I am going to stock up on as many as i can for those.

I think you guys are getting waaaaay ahead of yourselves discussing costs. There's currently 0 proof that you can get corruptions on <120 chars using this method. Let's figure out if it's doable in the first place :).
